Marybeth reached for her cup, cradling it in her hands while she absently listened to Estelle and the waitress fret about the terrible storm blowing in from the west. Glancing outside the window, Marybeth was startled to see the dark, broody clouds. Sure, when she came in, the sky was a little grey, but not this black shroud of gloom.
As soon as they were alone, Estelle swooped in on her again. "You know damn well the business we're in, yet you go out there and attract the biggest attention ever! What the hell do you think you're doing?"
