Levi agreed to his madam. Leo lowered his head remembering Alexa gave him that information. It wasn't too long ago. Just days ago. He nodded and took his wife's hands back to the room which kinda shocked her. He sat her down on a sofa and sat beside her. "Tell me, do you remember any of those guys?" Alexa blinked. "Um, I can try I guess." "You can make a sketch?" Alexa shook her head. "Uh, no. I'm not a sketch artist."

The wind was soft. Leo was quiet again. Naomi noticed it. “What are you thinking about?” she asked gently. Leo looked up at her. “I drew something today,” he said. “Really? What did you draw?” Leo smiled a little. “I drew you… and me… and someone else.” Naomi’s heart stopped for a second. “Someone else?” she asked slowly. Leo nodded. “My daddy.” Naomi’s steps became slow. “Can I see it?” she asked. Leo opened his small bag and took out a paper.

Old furniture. Maps. A fireplace. It wasn’t a cellar. It was a hidden apartment. Someone had lived here. For years. ⸻ On the desk rested a child’s sketch. Three stick figures holding hands. I didn't know if it was the weather, but I was unusually aroused lately, and I’ve been too sensitive especially around Levi. It was very strange. Levi quickly swiveled to face him, careful to protect the unconscious beauty sprawled out in the backseat of the truck. Dr. Ackerman approached slowly, his palms exposed at his hips. “Levi, I need to check her. She's bleeding pretty bad.” For the first time, Levi smelled the metallic scent of blood on his mate. He mentally scolded himself for losing control—something he never did.

“Of course! You shouldn’t only be perfect for me. I want everyone to know that you can be gentle and loving. You’re not just a grump and a hothead. You’re more than that. You just need to care about people besides me.” Akiko waited for a reply, but Kenji remained silent as Kenzo stood up and handed his drawing to Akiko. It was no longer just a scribble; it depicted a figure with a stick body and a large head. But seeing the long hair of one of the figures made it clear that Kenzo was trying to draw Akiko, and not alone. Kenji was beside her. Five figures and Gerald Junior and an arrow pointing toward everything that came after. She set it in the drawer with the others. She looked at the collection.

A minute later Keyla heard cupboard doors opening in the kitchen. Leo, at the table with paper and crayons, was drawing something he'd been working on since breakfast. Three figures in a house — the same round heads and stick bodies he always used, circles for heads, lines for bodies, and a square structure around them with a door. He'd labeled none of them, which was unusual; Usually there would already be letters beside each figure. Something seemed to occur to him. He switched crayons and went back to the drawing. Only then did Keyla look away from the contract. She leaned slightly toward the drawing. "Who's that?"

“I’m glad you said that.” Alec snapped his fingers and went into the closet. Coming back out, he had two massive pictures. Turning them around, they were my drawings from forever ago. One of was wolf’s head and the other was of a Bald Eagle. “These were huge favorite’s of mine from your sketch pad. I put them in a frame and would love to hang these.”
