Who was leaning on the bed working on the laptop? The moment her scent hit his nostrils he snapped his head at her. And a beautiful smile made its way to his lips. "Sunshine, you are back," Levi spoke beaming with happiness.

Silence then occurred as both of them didn't say anything after that. And despite the loud beating of her heart, Bammie finally smiled and hugged him back. “You're a very tough guy,” she commented as she patted his back. “Not everyone can give without expecting in return. I admire you for that,” she said. Levi didn't respond nor did he pull away. He remained hugging her and even rested his chin on her shoulder. “Do you know that I'm a fan of yours?” she admitted. Levi's forehead creased as he slowly retracted from Bammie. He then stared at her with a question, looking as if he didn't understand what she had just said.

Gavin said slowly in a deep tone. Lea was silent and it seemed like she just rolled her eyes before turning around and her eyes were immediately stunned when she saw me. "Oh, hi!" She smiled awkwardly and I don't know how to respond. I looked at Gavin who's tiredly watching his girl. "Hmm," I nodded and smiled before sitting down on the bar stool. Over the past five years I have learned to smile often, not because someone is struggling or hurting, but because I want to know how to smile at everything even if it hurts me.

"You look beautiful when you smile." I felt my heart flutter. "You say that like I don’t smile enough." "You don’t. Not like this. Not with me, but I want to change that." His fingers brushed down my arm, slowly. "Astra...is playing pretend with me exhausting for you? You know you can back out anytime, right?" My breath caught. "I know. I’m fine where I am, Levi." He exhaled softly, like he’d been waiting to hear those words. Our faces were so close now, our noses nearly touching.

I get that he's macho, but there's no need to be over dramatic. Taking a seat on the bar stools, Levi reaches in the bag and passes me my chicken nuggets and fries. "Thank you," I tell him, and I'm rewarded with a soft smile, something he doesn't give very often. Usually when he smiles there's still that hardness to him, but not now, and I think it's my favorite look of his.

King staring at us, but instead of the stern expression I was expecting, he has a smile on his face. If I'm being honest, it looks kinda odd on him... somewhat out of place on his face. He doesn't seem like someone who smiles often. "Hailey," he says to me. "I see you guys are having fun." His smile is easy, but it still makes me feel like I'm a kid getting scolded. I glance at Levi, but he isn't looking at me. His eyes are on the ground, his jaw ticking, the playful expression gone from his face.

However, his loyal crushes didn't even care about those comments. I avoided him in multiple ways. Until one night in the middle of the semester, I saw him. I was on my way to an integration event where the lower and upper semester guys were going to be together. I was dressed in a black skirt and black blouse. I had brown hair and brown eyes, my face looked round. I saw Jared leaning against a tree as if he was having difficulty walking. No one had seen him because everyone was busy at the mid-semester event. I decided to approach for the first time, I confirmed that it was Jared Ackerman, the most loved by the girls in college.

Levi is muscular and has long silver blonde hair that he tries back. His brown eyes sparkle like he thinks something’s funny but doesn’t want to share what it is. He has dimples that poke out on both cheeks when he smiles but he doesn’t smile as much as he did when we were kids. He’s gotten paler since we were kids. I remember a young tan dirty blonde hair but now, his skin is fair and his hair is silver blonde.

“You’re glowing, my dear.” I smiled. I nodded. I said thank you. Over and over. My face hurt from smiling. Tommy leaned in close and whispered, “Relax. You’re doing fine.” Tommy was being so nice , Kissing me any slightest chance he got. I lifted my eyes and that was when I saw Levi. He stood near the drinks table, his jacket was off, sleeves rolled up like he always did when he wanted to look casual. Our eyes met for half a second before I looked away. I told myself it didn’t mean anything.
