Ace barely heard the reassuring, forgiving words, since he was staring at Liam’s face. God, that smile. It was radiant, and open, and the closest thing to perfection that Ace had ever known. Ace had been on the receiving end of that smile countless times, and it had never, ever ceased to knock his breath clean out of his chest. It had never stopped being a tiny miracle that he felt honored and almost humbled to witness. When Liam smiled at him like that, it made Ace believe in good shit, like angels and souls and grace and – quite possibly and with a bit of a stretch – God. Maybe.

Levi quickly swiveled to face him, careful to protect the unconscious beauty sprawled out in the backseat of the truck. Dr. Ackerman approached slowly, his palms exposed at his hips. “Levi, I need to check her. She's bleeding pretty bad.” For the first time, Levi smelled the metallic scent of blood on his mate. He mentally scolded himself for losing control—something he never did.

We hardly ever saw his smile because he kept to himself and was really quiet but because Celeste was almost obsessed with him, she’d found his social media page which he kept hidden from other pack members. Unlike most boys that posted shirtless pictures on their social media, either sitting on their car or fishing, Levi had a picture of him smiling into the camera with his blue eyes alight. He was different and his difference appealed to Celeste who didn’t like men that were too macho or hardened. “Is he your mate?” I thought of how cool it would be for Celeste and me to find our mates almost at the same time.

Chapter 10 “Stop smiling. It’s creepy.” Lev nudged me as we get inside the jet making me frown at him. “What’s wrong with my smile? Last time I checked girls and guys alike are falling like flies for this smile.” Lev just looked at me with a drool face and I raised a brow and nodded at the flight attendant as we get inside the plane. I asked. Levi let go of me and widened his eyes. “You want it? I’ll give it to you then!” “Thanks,” I rubbed the back of my neck. “By the way, you look so happy today, Did something happen?” He nodded, “I had a normal conversation with my brother!” he grinned, “I still can’t believe it! I thought he would ignore me or something, but he talked to me!” I couldn’t help falling for his smile. He sure looked attractive when he was happy. People should often make him smile. It suited him a lot.
