Another fight we'd have to survive. Another impossible situation we'd have to navigate. Because that's what our life was. Constant survival. Constant fighting. Never peace for long. Just the brief moments between disasters. And this disaster was far from over.

She wants us to be a part of their lives and I am thankful for that. Returning to normal after this will be a struggle but we really have no choice in the matter.
