It suddenly dawned on me that the limousine had already left. As I turned to my side, I found Noah standing beside me, while the two bodyguards were positioned behind me. Taking a deep breath, I mustered up the courage to walk towards the building and before I knew it, we were standing in front of the elevator doors. We ascended to the top floor, which I had a hunch was Justin's luxurious office penthouse. The moment the doors parted, a wave of scents, like whiskey and champagne, enveloped me. The soft, rhythmic music filled the air and the dazzling lights seemed even more radiant on the inside.

my mother whispered. “Yes, Mom.” The red light swirled around her in violent, glowing circles before intensifying into a blinding flash. We shielded our eyes, and when the light died down, the necklace was gone. Only a faint residue of red mist remained, sinking into her skin before vanishing completely. Novel’s eyes flew open. She let out a sharp, desperate gasp for air, her chest heaving, but the effort was too much. She slumped back against the pillows, fainting again, but this time, her breathing was steady.

I said and started walking away. "Belle comes back, let’s just go home. This place is not safe," Gaston called out to me but I did not pay attention to him and kept walking fast towards the light. The closer I got to the light, the fader Gaston's voice got. I got so close to the light that I felt my eyes blare because of its radians. I could see a beautiful building through the light, it was like a different planet. "Wait! Don't go in there!" Gaston's voice rang in the air but it was too late as I had already stepped into the light and everything went blank, I blacked out.

All of it told Sarah that the piece of human leg she was seeing wasn't fake. Sarah gasped for air, the flashlight slid off from her fingers. She falls back, gasping and wheezing as she stumbles backward, her widening eyes staring directly to the leg that became more visible because of the flashlight harboring it. Only then did she manage to let out a scream.

“I admit defeat, Emma. Please, just come back. If you don’t, Noah will kill me!” She sobbed uncontrollably on the phone, her voice ragged and hoarse, broken up by sharp inhalations of pain. I removed my sunglasses slowly, turned over on the lounge chair, and stretched beneath the golden sun. “I warned you from the beginning—Noah was never a kind man. You didn’t listen. “Now that everything’s come to light, you’ll just have to endure it. When the time is right, I’ll come back.” When she realized I had no intention of returning, Jill dropped the act entirely.

As the first light of dawn peeked through, I saw Samuel. He was gone, turned into a ghost. His stubborn spirit had somehow tied me down too, like invisible chains I could not break. I wanted to get away, never to see him again, but I was stuck. He noticed me as well. His face, which had been ashen, suddenly lit up with an incredible glow. He blinked, tears streaming down his face. "Yocelyn!" He was so overwhelmed, moving to grab my hand.
