Dust burst loose from the ceiling in a thick cloud. Somewhere close by, metal screamed under pressure. The lights flickered hard and then came back weaker, red emergency strips pulsing through the smoke like the building itself was trying not to die all at once. I heard Adrian curse. The console beside him spat a warning tone. “No,” he muttered, then louder, “no, no, no.”

A small fire erupts from the server, slowly spreading to the rest of the security room. I make my way out of their security room, and shortly after the power goes out. The emergency lights don't even spring into action. Smoke begins to creep around me. I make my way through the hall. I remembered every twist and turn I had to make. I blindly make my way to the exit. Slowly my vision begins to clear, and I can make out shapes much better. I approach the final turn, and see the door ahead of me, that will lead to the outside.
