An angry opponent makes mistakes. That’s what my father and Caleb never understood. Anger is a weapon to their thinking, not a liability. Black is cast from the same mould. I’ve wound him up by staying calm, by being polite, and most of all by humiliating him, and he can’t see clearly through the red mist of fury. He’s three hundred pounds of muscle and rage, as unstoppable, dangerous and terrifying as a runaway locomotive, charging down on me. His free hand is out with claws ready, blocking any escape. Blinding sunlight flashes from the silver of his blade as it sweeps down.

The fury came all at once. White-hot. Blinding. Not at him. Never at him. But at them. The Morettis. The traitors. The cowards hiding behind our name. They left him like this. They made him bleed. I swore in that moment, I’ll make them pay. Not yet. Not now. But when I strike, it will be final. I slid out of bed, every inch of me aching, tender, used. But I didn’t stop. Pain doesn’t matter when you’re angry.

Fury burned within me at their audacity – how dare they disrupt our unity, our joy? I thought of Elisa, of the promise I had made to return to her unscathed. My resolve solidified, and a simmering anger fueled the fire within my veins. These interlopers had dared to challenge not just my authority as an Alpha, but the safety of my pack and the woman I loved. In that moment, a primal battle cry emerged from the depths of my being, reverberating through the clearing. The pack warriors responded in kind, their voices harmonizing into a symphony of determination. The battle was inevitable, and I had no intention of holding back.

I was still sad but I was mostly angry now. — angry at myself, mad at Cayden, and outraged by the Lycans. They’ve done too much damage, and yes it's my fault ‘cause I let them. But it’s time to put a stop to their frenzy and make them pay! I just hope Cayden is safe so I can be able to save him and murder him afterwards!

I have a growing, swelling balloon of ‘arghh’ expanding inside of me and it just switches on that hell hath no fury venom in me. “You are a fucking liar and a bloody coward!” I shout at him, tearfully enraged, angry and so fucking distraught all in one. Bubbling over, pouring my hot, spicy fury all over the place and leaving wet footprints on the polished floor. He stops in his tracks, turns his head and glares at me angrily.

We’re running out of time. “Cover me!” I yell. Lucas curses. “Elara, no—” But I’m already moving. I dive, cutting across the throat of the first man before he can respond. Blood sprays, hot on my flesh. Still another f*e. I whirl, duck, then plunge my blade into his chest. Lucas is with me right away, his gun burning. I advised you to keep back. I wipe blood from my face. “I don’t take orders from you.”

Freya's grief had now transformed into a burning anger, her tear-streaked face contorted with rage as she looked towards the direction Cain had disappeared. "He will pay for what he's done," Freya vowed, her voice laced with fury. "He killed Felicity, he killed our father, and he has caused so much pain and destruction. I won't rest until he's brought to justice." Vaemond reached out to her, trying to soothe her, but she pulled away, her eyes ablaze with determination. "Freya, I understand your anger, but we can't let it consume us," he said gently. "Cain is dangerous, and we need to be careful."

I let out a pained groan, my body recoiling from the injury inflicted upon me. “Hah!” Angelica scoffed. “Do you think I will back down? No way!” Angelica's defiant laughter echoed through the air, but it only fueled my determination. I refused to back down, no matter the cost. As her words reached my ears, a surge of adrenaline coursed through my veins, drowning out all rational thought. All I could focus on was the need to rid the world of this wicked woman standing before me. And so, with a primal roar, I unleashed my fury upon her.

GIOVANNI Fury seethed through me like burning inferno as I stood face-to-face with him. My anger boiled over, a raging tempest that threatened to consume me whole. Every fiber of my being screamed for violence. I wanted to lunge at him, grasp his throat, and stop him from existing. I yearned to snap his neck severely, to rip him limb from limb, and to watch as he disintegrated into nothingness. The air around me seemed to vibrate with my never contained rage. My head screaming at me to destroy him. To punch him, smash his face until he became a fucking puddle.

That word alone carried both triumph and terror. Angela exhaled slowly, her silver-gray eyes narrowing. “They’ll send more,” she said quietly. “Stronger, faster, and with intent to capture, not negotiate. You’ve marked yourself as a target, Flamebearer.” Her warning made the heat flare again, the fire inside me responding instinctively, pulsing in readiness even when I tried to calm it. I clenched my fists, feeling its coiled power like a living pulse, not foreign, but almost sentient. I can control it now—but I have to be careful, I reminded myself. I can’t let my anger dictate my choices.
