She was adorned with a full set of emerald jewelry, giving her a gentle and elegant appearance. However, her gaze was anything but kind. Sally had never shown Nina a friendly face. "Catch, my lady!" she cried, flinging it with all her strength. A flash of silver gleamed as the spear landed perfectly in Selena's grasp. Without hesitation, she swung it in a wide arc. A chill of silver light streaked through the air, followed by several thunderous cracks as the spear's force scorched the earth, leaving a long, deep fissure that shimmered with flickering flames.

Instead, she greeted me with a practiced, eager smile. "Miss, would you like a roasted sweet potato? Just fresh out of the oven—sweet as honey!" I shook my head and walked away without a word.
