“Come. Just to breathe air. You’ll walk only a little.” I hesitated — not out of fear, but strategy. Then I pushed myself up. The world outside was green, shimmering, endless. Trees rose in cathedral columns. Light filtered through leaves in gold-dusted beams. Lucien walked beside me but not too close — as though he understood space like a language. We followed a narrow path, wild ferns brushing our legs. The forest murmured — insects, leaves, distant waves. No voices. No roads. He paused beneath a tall cedar. “This is the highest point near the cabin,” he said. “You can see the water.”

*PREMINITION* I'm walking through a dark forest, the moon is at its highest point in the sky. The forest is eerily quiet tonight, almost like there is something bad here, that has all the nocturnal animals scared. As I walk deeper and deeper into the forest, I realise that I know the forest I am walking through. It's the Midian forest that is between Clovedale and the Deadly Nightshade and Blackmist pack. Confusion fills me as I try to work out what I am supposed to be here for. All I know is that there is something not right in this forest tonight. As I was walking further into the forest I started hearing the sound of a female chanting.

Allen barely reacted to her bitter silence and continued speaking, his voice calm but resolute. “If it weren’t for the so-called debt I had to repay, we would never have met. I would have had my own life.” Serene stared at him, frozen in place, her throat choked with bitterness. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but no words came out. She could only watch as Allen opened the car door and stepped out. As Allen approached the gates of the Luther residence, a sudden beam of blinding headlights flashed in his face. Instinctively, he raised his arm to shield his eyes, just as the screech of tires filled the air.

As soon as he finished speaking, he activated the Hundred Heavenly Steps and vanished from the hall. ... In the Black Forest... This was a forest between the Heaven Realm City and the Zombie Kingdom. Its surface area was shockingly large. There were all kinds of horrible fierce beasts in the Black Forest. For ordinary people, it was definitely a real forbidden zone for life. Lucas was still a thousand meters away from the Black Forest. He used his Mind's Eye to scout around and realized that there was already a heavy guard in front of them. "Well?" "Who are you?" Suddenly, a voice like an oriole leaving the valley traveled into Lucas' ears.

“Like it’s not supposed to exist.” Vivienne crouched to examine the ground, her dagger tapping lightly against the cracked stone. “This isn’t natural,” she said. “It’s been warped by something—something powerful.” Crane held up the resonance map, the glowing points shifting erratically across its surface. “The balance is weaker here,” he said, his voice tight with concern. “It’s like the fabric of this place is... unraveling.” Callan stepped forward, their glowing form cutting through the strange light. “This is a liminal space—a boundary between what was and what is. The force is strong here, but so is the balance. We must tread carefully.”

--- That same night, in the deeper parts of the Crescent Moon forest, Lena and Mira were investigating strange disturbances reported by the outer patrols. “I don’t like this,” Lena muttered, crouched low to the ground. “Too quiet.” Mira nodded. “Scent’s wrong. It’s like the trees are holding their breath.” A snapping twig made them both whirl, blades drawn. But it was only a scout, panting and wild-eyed. “We found something,” he gasped. “South ridge. You should see it.” They followed him through twisted brush until they reached a glade—one Aria used to meditate in.

I said, forcing myself to sit up. “Agreed, we rest tonight and tomorrow we trek through night and day to get us through the thickest parts of the forest. I’ve heard some crazy things about this place. Temptation forest is exactly that, a complete temptation. Built to trick you into straying from your path to indulge in your deepest fears and desires.” My stomach twisted in knots as I stared at the trees. They stood still, not a single branch moving, no birds singing, no wildlife at all actually. And something about that was extremely unsettling.

I only felt the burning, obsessive need to see Bane Blackwood stripped of his pride. "Get the car," I commanded. The Grey Marsh was a place where the modern world died. The air was thick with the smell of sulfur and decaying vegetation. We walked through the knee-deep fog until we reached a shack that looked like it was being swallowed by the earth. Inside, the Liminal Broker was a thing of nightmares—shriveled, ageless, and smelling of copper. She didn't look up as we entered. She was busy grinding something in a bowl made from a wolf’s skull.

After all, Markimstin Forest has another name; The Forest of the Lost Souls. Ever since the Maelies became the Royal Family of the Horalian Empire, Markimstin Forest became the boundary between the mainland and the other surrounding villages. It covers a hundred hectares just around the mainland and became the fortress that protects the mainland from raiders. Going through the woods without proper guidance from the appointed trekkers will lead to being lost or even death; especially to those who have element powers. The forest is the main weakness of an element user. Just by stepping inside its boundaries, it immediately sucks up their abilities especially if they don't have the proper gems

************************** Lena's POV The further we travelled into the forest, the more the atmosphere appeared to shift. Despite the time of year, a chilly, sharp breeze snuck in. It seemed like the forest was aware of our destination and goals. Each tree and shadow appeared to surround us, murmuring about hidden dangers nearby. The heaviness of our mission burdened me as I continued walking, yet I refused to succumb to fear.
