The Alpha didn’t respond to dad. Instead, his gaze narrowed to slits as he stared at Lu, and I knew that they were communicating via a mindlink he had set up between the two of them. His expression remained unchanged for the longest time, and then all of a sudden his lips curled in a show of disgust and he flung Lu away hard enough that the sounds of her bones crunching as her body hit the ground seemed to echo through the silent clearing. She did not get up.

"Our grandfather stole our bond, but now we have a chance to rewrite our destiny, to rediscover the love that was robbed from us." Her words resonated within me, the revelation of another sister, Lila, leaving me breathless. The truth of my identity as the true Luna mated to the alpha brothers, remained unchanged. Now that her lycan powers were unleashing, it only meant she would be able to use the mind link. She watched as the ship sailed farther away from the shores until it disappeared into the horizon. "What...?",she stuttered, wondering what just occured. One minute she had been staring at the ship, and the next it was gone.

I started gauging their expression. "Listen, I was taken against my will too. I am a Luna… the mate of a powerful Alpha. All I need is to link up my people and they will come and get us out of here… but… I have lost my ability to link them up. Alpha Blake did something to ensure that… I don't know if you can fix it…" I shrugged, looking at them intently. They looked at each other and stared at me suspiciously. "Well… if you can fix me, it will be great. I will mind-link my people and they will get us out of here together."

The anchor link surged— not fully formed, not stable, but triggered by the forced pulse. Aiden collapsed to his knees. Dante caught him, holding him tightly. “Aiden—Aiden—stay with me—” Aiden’s fingers dug into Dante’s shirt, voice trembling. “Dante… The link— It’s starting— whether we want it— or not—” Dante crushed him against his chest. “Then we finish it together.”

Elara’s breathing began to steady. After a long minute the pull faded completely. I let go of her hand and sat back. “Better?” She nodded slowly. “Better.” My father rubbed his face. “I need to study this further. The link should not require physical contact to stabilize.” “Unless the link itself is incomplete,” Julian said. We all looked at him. “What do you mean?” I asked. “You said carrier to carrier,” Julian said to my father. “Two people from the same bloodline. But what if the link is not actually anchored fully in Selina. What if it needs both of them. Together. Not just connected through blood, but present.”

If he did, he would say it. My hand flew to my temple, rubbing it lightly. That even wasn't the main problem. The main problem was the sheer realization of the deep shit I had involved myself in. Being able to mind-link with Sky automatically meant that I had been successfully bonded with Sky as mates! And not just that—it also means that I cannot connect with Lara unless I was to reject this bond. One thing for sure, this marriage class—cancelled. "It looks like your future Luna is a little more powerful than I gave her credit for."

Fuck and here I thought I was going to tease her, that didn’t work out as planned now I’m painfully straining against my pants licking my lips at this impossibly sexy Goddess in front of me, my Mate, my Luna. Now that we have bound our packs together and are Alpha and Luna we can mind link each other and every other pack member for that matter so when I hear Uhtred’s voice through the mind link for the first time I’m a little thrown off guard, I sit up looking around the room thinking he is actually here when Octavia giggles at me. “You got that link to huh.” She asks. “Yea I forgot we were linked for a second.” I scratch my neck feeling a little embarrassed.
