I can hear her voice calling out to my father, but I am enthralled with the beautiful green wings of the delicate creature in front of me. Today is my 10th birthday and my parents always bring me to Century Park to celebrate. The park is one of my favorite places, because there is always something to do or something new to see. I love watching the river from the gazebo and seeing the ducks float lazily along. The people milling about on the walking paths, and the birds flitting through the trees. Even though my parents are the Alpha and Luna of our pack, they always take my birthday as a special day for just us.

I knocked softly and heard a cheerful voice from inside. “Come in!” I pushed the door open and saw Mrs. Parker seated behind her desk, her welcoming smile immediately putting me at ease. “Hello, Mrs. Parker. I’m Sophia Sinclair, and this is my husband, Elijah.” Mrs. Parker stood and extended her hand. “It’s nice to meet you both. Please, have a seat.” Elijah and I took our seats across from her desk, and Mrs. Parker began to review a folder in front of her. “So, let’s talk about Reese,” she said, looking up with a warm expression. “She’s been a joy to have in class. She’s very enthusiastic and curious. I’ve noticed she has a strong interest in reading and storytelling.”

Landon answered. “But what if he won’t? What if he forgets us?” “That won’t happen. We’re bestfriends.” Landon assured, though deep inside, he felt doubtful as well. Chase has always been independent. He likes to work on his own. And sometimes, he likes to keep things on his own. “Look…” Xander suddenly said, pointing at somewhere near the parking lot of the orphanage. Landon looked up to see what his friend was pointing at. “That’s Mr. Parker, right? What is he doing here? Maybe Chase visited us.”

|•BLISS•| Few minutes later, Zeke pulls up in the parking lot of.... "An amusement park!" I shriek and I almost fall at the intensity of my own excitement. I get down from the park and so does Zeke, he unstraps his helmet and also mine then he grins at me. "You've never been to an amusement park?" He asks in amusement and I nod bobbling my head like a kindergarten kid. "Woah! You sure you aren't an alien being? Probably dropped off another planet entirely? I mean who has never been to an amusement park?"

Parker typically visited by this time only when Devon specifically invited him, hence the inquiry. Parker was caught off guard by the question, his expression reflecting surprise. "What am I doing here? Bro, it's your birthday! Let's have a celebration!" he exclaimed, his tone filled with enthusiasm. Devon arched an eyebrow in response to Parker's statement, then shifted his gaze towards Eliza, who responded with a warm smile. "Sure, let's head inside," Eliza declared, her tone carrying a hint of seriousness. "I have a gift for you. I must give you before the others. Promise me you'll open mine first."

He did not know her or the woman who raised her, but he kept watching for another full minute before looking away. The day continued., the park remained lively. The two billionaires stayed above, watching the innocent world below. The sun rose higher as the day continued. The amusement park grew louder with laughter, small screams from the rides, and the constant hum of people moving around. Pearl’s grandmother led Jay and Savior toward the snack area, hoping to rest for a moment before they continued playing. Jay’s eyes wandered as they walked. He looked at the balloons, the spinning rides, the popcorn stands, and the crowded paths. Then his gaze shifted to the side.

At the Parker Learning Center, as the kids filed out, they were directed to a game segment. One of the rooms had been designed to look like a park. “I love that!” One of the children shouted, running over to the swing, which was in the room. There were several snacks and things to play with, but the triplet walked over to a corner. “Jasmine, why did you shake him?” James asked. “Because he was smiling,” Jasmine responded. Jayden shook his head, grinning as he added, “Daddy was so fine, I like his hair.”

“I’m not.” To her utter shock, the pups moved closer, wrapping their plump arms around her without another word. At the center of an unexpected group hug, Nina felt her heart wrench. She knelt down on the floor, clutching the pups closer as tears filled her eyes. “I don’t understand, why are you being nice to me?” “Cuz no one should be alone when theys sad.” Parker answered authoritatively, looking so much like Ethan that Nina truly began to weep.

“Let’s get this dirt off you. You look like you rolled down a hill five times.” The corner of his mouth twitches. Not quite a smile, but close. It’s progress. The clothes we came here in are fit for nothing but the bin. Thankfully, someone from the Midnight pack dropped off a care package for Jax this morning… spare clothes, a few bath toys, clean towels, even a few games and snacks. I’m rinsing the soap from Jaxon’s back when Parker appears in the doorway, leaning a shoulder against the frame. He looks tired, more than usual, but he still manages a soft smile when his eyes land on us.

When he saw that the line was about to end, he sped up. When Jessica came over after buying something, the little fellow was already very skilled in playing. She walked steadily on the drawbridge with a proud face. Hmph, he just said that he must be having a better time than Wang Xiaoming. He secretly glanced down, raised his chin, and walked over in a particularly lively manner. The children's park here was the largest and the best in the city. There were all kinds of amusement in the park. Jessica stood outside and took pictures with her mobile phone, just like other precious mothers.
