CHAPTER 21 After falling asleep he fell prey to some terrifying dreams. He came woke up well past midnight, trying to shake a vision of a gigantic demon, monstrosity crashing through the house on which he was a mate. "Nothing that can't wait until tomorrow." Five hours later we were sitting on her bed. I was next to her, and she'd covered us with that big blanket of hers. My head was on her shoulder, and I found myself nodding off. The episode we were watching was called 'Nightmares,' where a little boy in a coma was causing everyone's deepest fears to manifest.

Anna was starting to lose count of the number of nightmares she’s been having since Josh’s death but whenever she woke up with one, clearing her head with a jog had been working well on her. The time read 6:00 am and she hated the fact that she had to be awake at this early hour of the day.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips, and I let my neck fall backward to the wall and closed my eyes, relieved. My chest heaved up and down. My tank top and my hair were glued to me due to sweat. Suddenly, a wave of drowsiness ran through my body. My eyelids became heavy again. I shook my head and opened my eyes, only to see the room circling around me. Black spots came into my vision and before I knew it, I was falling unconscious again.

Caleb retreats to his room, and soon, the villa is cloaked in darkness as all the lights shut off for the night. ......
