VELVET

VELVET

At this point, I was fully willing to show up to the museum in Alex would've loved that. Reaching the last dress, I unhooked it from the hanger and held it up in front of me. It was a short slip-like dress, the color being a wine red. The neckline was a low v-neck and the back had fallen quite low with thin straps to hold the material up. Unlike the other ones, this one was simple. It was also the only one that I thought matched me the most. I just wasn't sure how it'd look on me. Taking off my clothes, I unzipped the

THE VEILED BRIDE

THE VEILED BRIDE

And I could see something else too, something behind my own eyes that hadn't been there before. A figure, standing just behind me, made of nothing but light. A veil, white and flowing, appeared out of nowhere and wrapped itself slowly around my body like a gown woven from something more than fabric. Thin material settled over my shoulders, weightless. A translucent veil drifted behind my head, moving gently even though there was no wind anywhere in this place to move it. I stared down at myself, not understanding any of it, my hands trembling as I took in what I'd become.

Love Me As I Am

Love Me As I Am

I inhaled deeply and walked out of the dressing room. "It's lovely," Laura grinned and Sandra clapped. I can't stop myself from smiling. I stared at the mirror and smiled. It is what I expected and more. It looks simply and a not at all fancy. It had a yellow lace bow tied to the side and a veil that spread widely on the ground. It is originally white but there's a little yellow. It has some flares which make it beautiful and it was soft. I could sleep in it. "We'll take it," I stated with a final tone. "Okay then," mom uttered defeated.

TRAPPED IN THE BILLIONAIRE’s BARGAIN

TRAPPED IN THE BILLIONAIRE’s BARGAIN

Reginald, brought out her tablet and showed another set of designs . "Go back," both mother and daughter said in unison and exchanged a look. Mrs. Reginald looked stupefied but she quickly recovered and swiped to the previous page. The gown was breathtaking. The lace was as white as snow. It'd match her skin very well. The v neck dipped lower than what she usually went for. The skirt cascaded like a waterfall. The veil that went with it was thin and transparent. It was plain at the top but there were some beadings at the ends. The sleeves were long. The gown was one of a kind.

The Broken Fate of a Fated Mate

The Broken Fate of a Fated Mate

“If this is what you’re like now, I can’t even imagine what you’d be like for your mating ceremony.” “You’re not keeping my veil, I’ll tell you that much.” Mylene makes her way over to me with the material in her hands and before I can even greet her, she holds it out to me. I look down in shock. It’s a gorgeous lace veil, lavishly detailed and in excellent condition despite it obviously being vintage. I look up at Mylene with a puzzled expression. “Please, take it,” she says. “It was my mother’s. It’s pretty, isn’t it? I think it’s too pretty to not be used in another mating ceremony again.”

this story had me right from the beginning. Nicely paced and not drawn out but wonderful characters and development, just enough drama, no cheating and a HEA. Just wish for bonus chapter or epilogue.

I'm really enjoying this book. You have your typical drama, i.e., a rejection, but it's very skillfully executed. Trent guy is a disgusting coward. Shawn and Vanessa are so well portrayed, very well-rounded characters, and I just love them. Shawn is a precious cinnamon roll <3

Alpha's slave, the eternal submission

Alpha's slave, the eternal submission

The subtle rouge enhanced their natural color, making them look inviting. The way her hair cascades in soft waves around her shoulders, the delicate curve of her neck, and the way her gown cling to her form, all captivates him. “Your majesty…” She says, her voice is soft…it is unlike her and I can hardly hear it. “Get her hair out of the way.” I say, referring to the attendants and they begin to plait her hair, putting it into a single braid. When I said that, I swear…I saw Yeri’s eyes widen in awestruck. She looks back to the other entrance in the room where the doors are widely opened. There, she can see the ornate veil that hangs from the ceiling. This veil is cream in color, embroidered

Veil Of Destiny

Veil Of Destiny

she said, not an ounce of fear in her eyes. "You don't have to attack me like that. I will not take this insolence from you, we both want something from each other, both a means to an end so you will not talk to me like I'm some sort of dirty dog while you are the saint" I fired back at her. She looked at me for a long time. Her face softened with each passing second. Finally, she laughed and shook her head, removing the shawl that was wrapped around her. She was wearing a veil underneath, one that made me wonder why she had the shawl in the first place.

Into the Unknown

Into the Unknown

Wei said making me look at him then smile. I am now wearing this thin satin overskirt dress with a golden ribbon as belt. I am also wearing a nice warm t-strap 2 inch heels with a peach color. I step out of the room I am staying for this night inside the castle. I walk towards the flower garden area just for me to hide on a bed of long overgrown pink colored flowers. I see Vlash standing a few meters far from where I am. The reason why I have to hide is that Flora is walking towards him. I suddenly feel like my heart is tightening. I am about to leave when I heard what Flora said.

The Mafia's Princess

The Mafia's Princess

So this is it? I'm standing in front of the mirror, looking at my reflection. My long black hair is tied back, and a veil is attached to the bun of my hair to make it all the more real. I'm not going to cry; I repeat, I am not going to cry. I turn to the side to admire more of this beautiful gown. Saying the word gown doesn't do this dress justice.

The Unwanted Sister's Alpha King

The Unwanted Sister's Alpha King

"What are you talking about?" He reached into his coat pocket, pulling out a delicate, lace-trimmed veil. "This veil," he explained, "will cause you to have the baby and make it seem as though you have died. It will make it look like you died in childbirth, so there will be no questions asked." My breath caught in my throat as I reached out to touch the veil, the fabric soft yet imbued with an ominous weight. "Are you sure about this?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper.

I'm glad i stuck it out. yes, the book is long, and at times, it does drag on, but what the author did, they did justice to the story itself. unlike most books, the endings are always a letdown. this author knew how to conclude it. continued in comments

It is a long book but I didn’t feel like it dragged out because it was so full of details and the author made sure to tie up any loose ends so it didn’t leave you wondering. Will definitely be sticking around for the fantasy version of it.
