Liora Vale had always loved the quiet. At twenty-one, she worked the night shift at the old city library. Most people thought the job was boring, but Liora loved being alone with the books after midnight. The tall shelves felt like old friends. One rainy night, while sorting the rare books section, she found a strange leather book hidden behind others. It had no title. When she opened it, the pages glowed softly. Words appeared. Choose a story. Bring him to life. One night only.

“The lost heirs; twins that braved into the woods. Rumours speculate that it was to visit their favourite spot by the lake which they visited religiously, but one day… they never returned.” Uh, so it’s one of those stories. Boogieman tales meant to frighten little kids into submission, and if they rebelled, the lock ness monster will slink out of the lake and gobble them up. Like when did stories like that ever work? And this, lost heirs, wreaks of urban legend. “I must go, much to prepare for the banquet this evening. Be good, children.” She rotates around and hastily exits my room and closes the door behind her with a soft click.

After two days of high temperatures and intense boredom, he remembered the three books. Sam pulled out the one with the Mummy on the cover, because it looked the most innocuous. It was entitled the Ninth Pan Book of Horror Stories. He wasn’t the least bit prepared for what he found inside. The first three stories involved emasculation, murder and burning at the stake. In his fevered state Sam felt he was not only watching the characters’ suffering, he was experiencing it along with them. He flung the book at the wall and then hid it again, wishing he could burn it like Jinnot, the young girl in the third story who was burned alive.

I say and we walk up and down the library isles. I climb and jump to get books off of shelves and Aidan has to catch me a couple of times when I fell.

Oddly, it clicked, then tilted itself back, just as a portion of the shelves slid inward, revealing a hidden hallway behind. "I.. what?!" Haden stammered, "Has this been here all along?! Where does it go? Why did no one tell me?!"

The novel he wrote was about 20 years ago, it was a novel it never got the ideal reads since it can't be read below 18-year-old, this book has too many fetish scenes and blood that might cause a child to dream a nightmare... So it was privately banned, so few people we're able to get this book before it gets banned.

Lora read the book, sentence by sentence. A strange planet, yet she wished to visit it. The pages depicted a pleasant and quiet way of life. She saw herself growing up, her body perfect, producing beautiful curves with no scars, bruises, or blood flow in the corners of her lips.
