Skylar smiled to herself, recognizing the sound immediately. It was her three-year-old son, Lorenzo. LOID'S POV:- When I opened my eyes in the morning, I was surprised to see myself alone in the room. Sun was shining proudly in the sky, it was almost noon. I was not sure how I slept for so fucking long. Maybe it was because she was with me. There was no fear in my heart. Maybe that's why I was able to sleep so soundly. I sniffled my fingers, they smelled like her. I was stroking her long black hair. It left her scent on my fingertips.

"Why don't you open and see?'' His father's voice pleaded once again. Why was he so interested in him coming out of his room? It's his private prison and he can stay for as long as he wants unless he dies and his body needs to be buried. He sat on the opposite couch. After a few moments, Vish and I saw Liah noiselessly descend the stairs so we stood up together. Liah signaled not to make a noise. Then she rushed to where we were. "My baby just fell asleep. It's so hard to put him to sleep so no one should make any noise," she said almost in a whisper. "But, your room is soundproof. All the rooms in this house are soundproof. Why are you worried?" Vish questioned. "Well, I didn't close the door since I'm worried that something bad might happen if I do so," Liah said flatly. "What if he cries and I don't hear it? That would be so really bad for me as a mother."

Lucas lay in his old bed, looking his old room over: the bookcase, the desk, and the bare walls painted white. He'd had no TV before he left, and there was no TV there now. He walked up to the large window. The backyard looked the same, and so did the deck. He returned to bed, battling the urge to escape the house. Before he knew it, his eyelids grew heavy, and he drifted into a fox's sleep. It was two hours later when his sleep came to an abrupt end. He had a feeling that he was being watched.
