After about five minutes, Irene’s eyes widened in excitement as she saw her bring the drink to her lips. Drink… just take a sip… She watched her fixatedly as she brought the glass to her lips and drank from it. She smiled and walked towards her but her feet stopped when she saw someone. All color drained from her face. What was he doing here? Irene’s heart pounded as her eyes fell on Liam. Didn't she say he was coming back in two days? How was he here now? Irene turned around and rushed to the bathroom. She locked the door and walked to the mirror, staring at her reflection, she tried to breathe.

“Just… a bit of a surprise, that’s all.” Irene stepped into the room, glancing at the box on the desk. “What was it?” she asked, her voice low and tentative. Once I finished my business and headed back to the small room, I slipped my old clothes from my body, wondering if I would ever see them again.
