Lucius looked torn and broken. Out of the woods walked Verona. I have not seen Verona in hours since Minerva arrived, and she learned the bitter truth about her sister and her husband. Verona went pale as she saw Lucius. She screamed and drew attention to herself. Everyone stared at her horror-struck face. She began to run but Lucius, being a dark Alpha, acted fast. He ran faster than anything I had seen. I tried to run towards her but, Damien held me back with his Alpha strength.

I stopped inches from Lucius face. ​"What did you just say?" I hissed. My power rattled the windows. ​"I... I’m just thinking of the pack..." Lucius stammered, his knees shaking. ​"You’re thinking of your own ego," I said. My hand shot out and grabbed his throat, lifting him off the ground. How delusional she must be to think that I would try to steal Lucius from her. He placed his hand near the silver hilt and drew the sword. The blade gleamed in the moonlight, making it look even more deadly than it was. Lucius just smirked, catching Jaida's attention.
