Lyon By Jordan Silver Novels & Stories

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. The truth was right there, but fear tightened around my throat and swallowed it whole. And Damien… He hadn’t looked away once. His eyes were locked on me, sharp and unreadable. It felt like he could see through me. I was having a panic attack and I couldn't move. I wished I could disappear. After what felt like forever, I gave the smallest nod. It was all I could manage. The priest raised his arms high. “Then, by the ancient laws of the Lycan bloodline, I now pronounce you mates. May the Moon Goddess bless your union.”

“I know. But this time, we have the upper hand—his emotions. If there’s one thing that can make Leonel lose focus, it isn’t numbers or reports. It’s Jeslyn Hydra. We’ll play with his emotions until he breaks.” Jordan smirked, exhaling another plume of smoke. William and Dimitri exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. ***

He whispered something in his ear and then closed his eyes to mind link someone. It might be a family drama but it was getting interesting. Just like the mistress, I wanted to throw some insults on Luna’s way too. I wanted to see how would she handle it? Just then the doors to the halls opened with a loud announcement about the arrival of the Silver Pack Luna. I smelled a strong scent of Vanilla and apple pie. My mate was here. Was she behind the Luna? As her servant? My wolf, Abramo started dancing in my head. I raised my eyes and went still when I saw the most beautiful girl, I had ever seen in my life, descending the steps slowly, lifting her skirts.

Exotic jewels flaunted their splendor through the glass windows of the various stores. “We can skip this section.” I said with a frown, already feeling a headache coming on. I wasn’t too fond of jewelry. When I wore them, they tugged my body like the excessive weight they were. “No, we can’t. As the Luna of the Lycan Heir, you need jewels that’ll match your status.” The Lycan disagreed with conviction. Placing his hand on the middle of my back, he ushered me into the first store before I could object.

I simply smiled at her, knowing Rachelle was now on fire. “As we witnessed the game, the king will personally award the prize to the winner. Lady Anastasia Cullen didn’t only outsmart her opponent but she also showed good sportsmanship, grace, and strength as she won flawlessly,” the announcer said. Darius took a medium-sized box from the table. “This token symbolizes the history of Lycans. From what you have shown earlier, you’ve earned this prize,” he said, handing me the box. I was about to take it when our hands touched. I tried to grab the box from his hand, but he intentionally held my hand.

“Thank you. I knew I could count on you.” “Always,” Blake said. But then her posture froze. Her eyes widened. She went still. “What’s wrong?” Lydia asked. And then she felt it too. The air shifted. The crowd parted. The third Lycan prince strode toward them—tall, broad-shouldered, with long dark hair that shimmered under the lights. His golden eyes locked onto Blake. He didn’t speak. Just walked straight up and pulled her into his arms. “Mate,” he growled.

I sit there just looking at them completely distracted and thinking how I was supposed to find however is doing this to my Luna. We didn’t have the chance to celebrate her birthday, we didn’t have the chance to have a Luna ceremony. This is agony for me. “Hey dad, think fast” – I heard Leon saying and my hand automatically grabs what he throws at me. “What is this?” “Open it” I look and is a small box and when I open it there’s a ring, carved in wood, with wolves and the full moon. The most beautiful handmade wood ring I’ve ever seen. I give Leon a confused look

“Alpha Jordan from The silver moon pack was her mate who died in the battle with rogues. He was betrayed by his family who invited The rogue Alpha to attack the pack.” Lyceon sighed, recalling his last meeting with Jordan when He and Ashina left his pack after celebrating his birthday. They were so happy together. “Why would his own family betray him?” Allison was shocked to the core.

So … this was how he was holding them off. The distinct sound of flapping was heard as Dayonara’s griffin descended. She jumped off its back and turned her glowing green eyes toward the lycans. “Atrapage!” she shouted, and a red glowing laser shot around the lycans, ensnaring them in place. “That will hold them.” She turned, beaming at me. “Nice move, wolfie. I never imagined you’d jump from that height.” I shifted back to my human self and gave her an appreciative smile. “Is Finn okay?” Strong arms encircled me from behind and I spun around in his arms.
