Marvel yelled frustratingly, his eyes tearing up. After a moment of silence, Venessa let out a laugh. "Are you kidding me? Hey, since when did you have such a thought?" Venessa asked, taking Marvel by surprise. "What?" he frowned. "You're way too off my standard. Taking you to my parents will be like an insult. I only let you to be with me because of the pleasure I earned," Venessa said in a stern voice. Marvel felt his heart breaking into pieces. "I am trying to reach your standard and make myself presentable to your parents. If this is a prank, stop. Did all our moments mean nothing?" he asked.

Marvel was a product of single parenting, her parents had divorce when they were little and she had stayed with her mother because then, she was just three years old while Mirabel went with their father. Actually, I only met Mirabel twice. Once during our matriculation when I had only met marvel a few days before the matriculation day and the second time when the sister had to go back and had come to see marvel for a last hug before she left and since then she had just come back. "It's been like five years now, she must be so excited.” Diane chipped in. "Let me get you some bottled water from the cafeteria.” Diane wanted to stand up to go get me some water but I stopped her before she did.

Layla rolled her eyes once more. She had just confessed to her friends that she was held at knifepoint by a junkie weirdo and all they wanted to do was talk about her kissing a biker. Sassy said and walked him halfway to the office, before going back. Mr Carson pressed the doorbell and waited for a few seconds before pushing the door open. "Hello, sir. Welcome, I am sorry for the little misunderstanding, I didn't know I had an appointment. It must have slipped off my memory, anyway, how is..." Marvel was saying, then she looked up and her eyes widened. "Marvel?" Mr Carson said and took off his glasses. "Dad," Marvel said, in shock. "What the hell are you doing here?" She asked.

Shit, I wanted to run my tongue all over that place. I noticed the dark marks on his right shoulder and that they reached down to his chest. But instead of a burn, it looked more like a birthmark. “Marky...” I breathed excited as I watched as he finished undressing and got into the hot tub and sat next to me. “Tell me, Livie.” he smirked as he pulled me towards him, leaning my back against his chest. “Marvelous body you built overnight.” He started to laugh and it didn't take long for me to join him.

He opened the door. Gestured slightly. “Milady.” I snorted. Eli laughed. Ava approved. The drive was chaos. Immediate chaos. “Have you seen the new Marvel trailer?” Eli asked. Marcus nodded. “I have.” Ava leaned forward. “They’re misdirecting the plot.” Marcus looked interested. “Go on.” And just like that, I was no longer part of the conversation. They went deep. Characters. Timelines. Theories. Eli talking fast. Ava correcting him.

I nodded, yes, I liked down. “So.....your turn?” She continued as she tied her green ribbon on her wrist. “Um....Marvel or DC?” “What? What’s that?” Samantha asked her eyebrows scrunched up. “Oh, my Goddess you don’t know about Ironman? Or BATMAN???” I asked, shocked. Who doesn’t know about the Dark Knight or about the Avengers??? “Um..sorry?” She had a worried look on her face. “Should I know them?” “I mean yeah.... no....I just can’t believe you’ve never heard of them! Avenger’s Endgame was epic! Every movie theater in the nation was sold out!”

Marvel isn't growing up in a cult. Valentine lets go of my hand, then starts to strip. All thoughts of keeping my head on straight for Marvel's sake go flying out the window. Damn. Is it weird that I want to lick his chest? Just a good swipe of my flattened tongue across his firm, beautifully muscled pec.

Though she tried to hide it, she too was feeling some kind of uncertainty. "Mara I saw your picture" her mum let out a deep breath. "Mum you have my pictures everywhere in the house" Mara shook her head as if her mother just said something very silly. "No, I am not talking about that. I saw your picture somewhere else…I saw your picture in the least place I expected" her mum continued to speak and this time she had gotten her daughter's attention. "And where could that possibly be. If it's on a billboard then we have to go and get our money from them. It isn't easy being famous yuuno?" Mara kept on blabbing and her mum just shook her head horizontally at the gullibility of her daughter.

Everything that I do to them cannot be right. “Don’t act cowardly when you know you know you’re not a coward. Even though you killed four wolves in one hand, don’t think of yourself as a strong woman. You’re nothing compared to the alpha,” Marvel said. He growled at me, scaring that shit hell out of me. “Why are you messing with me? I am just a nobody.”
