Second chance with cursed Alpha king

Second chance with cursed Alpha king

I tried to calm myself down by pressing my fingers against the glass of the window, focusing on that instead of the panic in my chest. When we finally arrived, the sky was starting to get lighter. Marshall’s house was huge. It was made of stone. It looked like it had been carved right out of the earth. It was taller and wider than anything I had ever lived in. There were guards stationed around the walls, spaced evenly apart. They all bowed when Marshall’s car came through the gate.

STUCK WITH MR. BILLIONAIRE FOR CHRISTMAS

STUCK WITH MR. BILLIONAIRE FOR CHRISTMAS

Glass flew through the air as I dropped to the floor which made hit the floor. A second shot came then a third. And suddenly, it was no longer just shots. It became a torrent. A relentless mechanical roar that split open the night outside, cracking walls and shattering windows one after another along the length of the house. I lay on my stomach on the kitchen tile with my hands over my head, glass tangled in my hair, while above me, the refrigerator door splintered apart—the pie— The kids. "Thessa!" I started crawling, glass cutting into my palms. I felt none of it. Was only focused on moving quickly down the hall as low as possible while plaster puffed white dust above me where bullets pun

A FAKE LIFE

A FAKE LIFE

My body impacted against the glass finishing denting it and I propelled myself through the roof but since the machine gun was there I bounced causing agonizing pain in my back. But despite any pain I swallowed it and went down to the glass. Ryder looked at me in such a determined way that he should feel afraid, however there was none of that feeling inside me. He pulled a pistol from his jacket and fired at the corners to dislodge the glass. My gun went flying and I grabbed the glass to yank it out. So, I went through the hole with my knives and landed in his lap digging them into both arms that were wrapped around my body to hold the wheel.

This was Texas—bullets protected everything. I pulled a small flashlight out of my pocket and began looking into the windows. I avoided touching the glass, knowing it might trigger the alarm. I finally located a room on the side of the house with an enclosed glass cabinet against the back wall. If I was lucky, it held what I’d come for.

Shhh Daddy won’t Know

Shhh Daddy won’t Know

The trip back to the mainland felt like waking up from a bad dream, only to find your real life was worse. The clean, sharp air of the island was gone, replaced by the damp, heavy fog of Blackwood Valley. It clung to the windows of the armored car like a sick breath. And there, in the distance, the Glass House sat on its cliff. It didn’t shine anymore. In the dying orange light of the sunset, it looked like a broken piece of dirty ice, reflecting nothing but the coming dark.

Sold to the Mafia king

Sold to the Mafia king

I walked in, scanned quickly. No windows. Of course. The second room was… a gym. I blinked. The shock etched into me. Who the hell needs this many machines? Were these men training for war or auditioning to become Greek statues? I crept past a row of weights that looked heavy enough to crush my entire existence. One wrong move and I’d die buried under dumbbells. I held my breath until I was out. When I opened the third room— I froze. A glass cabinet lined the wall. Inside it were guns. Not one. Not two. A collection. Sleek, black, silver, some with engravings. They were displayed like art. I stared at them, my mouth open.

The Pack's Triquetra

The Pack's Triquetra

Jules, however, had one love, and it wasn’t Catherine - it was the land. Near the new Cartwright house, a sprawling modern structure that had appeared in many Country Home magazines when it had been built twenty years prior, using local stone and floor to ceiling glazed windows that reflect the beautiful fields that surrounded it, Heath killed the motorbike engine and walked it the rest of the way, the gravel grating loudly under the wheels. He leaned the bike against the wall beneath Cameron’s bedroom window, before springing up, catching hold of the windowsill and lifting onto it, until he squatted, his toes on the ledge, and eased the large glass pane back so that he could step inside.

Fantastic follow up to the first book. I keep going back to the first one to reread the corresponding chapters. It’s so good to see all the perspectives. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Such a clever way to present a story. I’m hooked. I’ll read anything this author puts out at this point.

My Father's Rival Is My Lover

My Father's Rival Is My Lover

“You don’t know what trap he’s setting. Don’t walk into it alone.” “I walked into Vincent’s world alone. I can survive Malachai.” “That’s what scares me,” he muttered. She walked past him, her heels clicking like a countdown. Midnight, House of Glass, Paris The House of Glass was a modern art installation located in the heart of the city, an angular, mirrored building with walls that reflected the night like shards of reality. The entire place shimmered under the moonlight. Grace entered through the side, her footsteps echoing on the pristine floors.
