Then as to remember something, Hilda asked again. “Why you two—” She pointed her finger at both men. “—bring an unknown reindeer here?” “The reindeer is my friend, my lady.” Deandra felt she need to explain it. “Friend?” Her eyes looked deep into Deandra’s. “How?” Deandra didn’t say anything. She couldn’t find the right word to explain why she can’t be friend with Mago. “Because Deandra can talk to animal.” Julian explained.

I asked her. She was too busy celebrating to notice that she had alarmed basically everyone else. As the first birds touched down, transforming into mages as they landed, I saw recognition on her face and some of the other mages, like Maggie, whom I trusted. Mage Jaye was such a nut, she may as well change her name to Nuthatch. Or Flamingo. “You came!” she shouted, running over to a tall, dark man with cropped hair standing in the front of the group. I couldn’t count all of them that quickly, but I thought there had to be about three dozen anyhow.

I jumped and turned to see a breathtaking man with short jet back hair that looked like he styled it with his fingers. I had to crane my neck up to see his face but it was worth it. This man was not from around here with this big muscles, wide shoulders, and fire red eyes. Feeling drool start to pool in my mouth I wiped my head around and started searching for Freya. "Freya?" I shouted my voice sounding shrill. No sounds came back. "Freya? Where are you?"

I was taking a shower but I felt like I was being watched. These days, I had been totally captivated by and restlessly researching merpeople day and night. My fascination with this mysterious species had caused a merman to appear in my dreams a few days ago. He was majestic, young, and about three meters tall. His upper body was muscular, and his tail was iridescent black. A tail so powerful that a single movement had the strength to produce a huge, engulfing wave.

The only thing I could make out from her outfit was that it was a warsuit. Just when she felt a presence in her room, she turned and saw me. I smiled weakly at her. It seems Sage's first attack did a great deal on me considering the fact that I never strengthened my power level after I got my powers back. "Megan?" Morgana gasped. She ran up to me. She pulled me into her embrace but instead of reciprocating the gesture, I collapsed into her hands. Everything went fuzzy at first. I could not see her face clearly before it all blacked out. Fig started off, “First question, would you allow one to die to save the lives of ten?” The moment she posed the question, her staff glowed a blue hue and two very vivid images appeared on the front of two red doors in front of them, first one showed a man who was looking around like he was lost and the other showed five men and five women, all sharing the same confused body language. “Is this real or just in my head?” Rex asked, squinting at the images, trying to ascertain if they were actually real. “If it were just in your mind, what makes you think it still is not real?” Fig asked, dropping one of her long fingernails down the back of Rex’s hand, producing a thin cut in his skin.
