I told him, grabbing my backpack off the hook I’d put on the back of the door and unzipping it, so I could tuck my laptop inside.
“Your wolf probably won’t let you go without me,” he said, rubbing his arm a bit. “You can try it, but you’ll feel her try to shift and take over. My friends didn’t give you all of the details, but, now that my wolf’s done hunting you, yours is hunting me. It’s called The Chase.”
