Although she could not determine the gender of the two-week-old. Fvcking twin babies. Unbelievable! Zayn and his magical third leg. Speaking of him, she lifted her eyes straightway to see him staring down at her from the podium where he stood with the elders of the kingdom behind him. Just like Cain, he was dressed in his royal garment, the tunic that was decorated with amazing embroidery and mind-blowing gold lacing. The One True King. No. She hasn't told him about the babies yet and asked Kimberly not to.

"You need me, and I need you to stay alive, so let's redefine this partnership." Silence came again, but I had finally done what I should have done seven days ago. I found a balance between everything. A king can never be a slave. I exited the building after a long while and returned to the throne room where the twins were presented. There was something about them that kept drawing me close. "Lords and Lycans of the Eastmoon pack and city, today, I crown Jardran and Jared Kaine, my sons, as Princes of Eastmoon."

I say defiantly, feeling myself getting worked up about it and it made me more agitated that my mate chuckled at this. “My love, it doesn’t mean that. It just means that maybe he has the choice. You know not every Alpha child wants the position. Maybe he has a more special destiny than being the King, maybe the twins are supposed to be the Alphas, maybe we have another baby who will rule. We won’t know for a long time. We will think through all the outcomes, and raise them the same regardless.” He kissed the inside of my neck and I felt my eyes roll to the back of my head. Damn him. And damn these hormones. I was so easily distracted and placated and he knew it.

he grinned, stealing another piece before she could stop him. “How are you feeling, Darina? And how is my adorable grandson—or granddaughter?” asked King Lucas warmly. “The three of us are doing well,” Darina replied, tossing a grape into her mouth. “Three?” Kai asked, frowning in confusion. “Wait, did you include me in that count?” “Nope,” Darina said casually, “we’re going to have twins. A boy and a girl.” Kai’s face lit up like the sun. “That’s fantastic news!” He smothered her in noisy kisses, planting them all over her cheeks until she dissolved into laughter.

She nodded and jumped from Kenzie’s arms and into my own. “Your mate is very pretty and very strong. Don’t let her doubt herself.” Then she leaned into my ear and whispered, “you need to ask the King to officially coronate the twins. The spies in the kingdom will get worried and start making mistakes. It will also allow the mate-bond between two who need it as soon as possible if we want them to live.” I kissed her forehead and nodded. Yeah, she sounded very much like an Oracle there. Very wise beyond her years.

Till one of them dies?” Lucius asked again, he needed to be sure that he understood what Sir Theophilus was talking about. “YES. That is our law but there is a cause to it, the king can decide from the day that they are born, to withdraw his name from one of the twins. If he does that, the second twin will bear the surname of the king’s Luna who is their mother.”
