I blurred out of reach just in time.
She thrashed around, clawing at the cage bars, but it was useless. It was a well-constructed iron cage that no claws could penetrate. The iron broke off a claw, causing her to growl, head bowed in agony. She calmed down, considerably, out of pain, and curled up into a ball, nursing her bruised hand.
Seeing her in such a state, my fury dissipated. I sighed, shaking my head.
“You don't go against someone stronger than you in all levels, pet. You pick on someone your own size.” She grunted stubbornly when I crouched to inspect her hand, baring her teeth at me.
