My body becomes enveloped in a burst of flames, and the fire spreads from my skin and causes an expulsion as soon as it got close to the gas tank across the room. THE END.

Fires Within Fires

Fires Within Fires

(Don’t do this to him) He gave me a devilish smile and looking at me he bought the lighting close to his arm. His shout of pain combined with mine. The smell of burning flesh tainted the air. The only strength he had left he spent on wailing and moaning in pain. He cannot endure it. They traced the little fire over the words. How painful! I did not want to look anymore but the man behind me had a tight grip so I couldn't turn my face even if I wanted to.

The Cold Compromise

The Cold Compromise

Chapter 85: Borrowed Time The scent of burning wood and resin lingered in the cold air, sharp and acrid, as Luca and Ethan raced down the slope away from the Old Sawmill. Smoke curled behind them, twisting with the wind, marking the inferno they had left in their wake. For a brief moment, the fire had bought them precious minutes, but it had also broadcast their presence to any observer with eyes in the valley.

The Alpha's Regret: Rising From The Ash

The Alpha's Regret: Rising From The Ash

Chapter 29: The Long Night The forest was burning. The missiles had ignited the dry underbrush turning the valley into an inferno. Smoke choked the air. It was thick and black and smelled of sulfur. I ran. I pushed my body to the limit. My lungs burned with every breath. I dodged falling branches and leaping flames. Kael was right beside me. He was in wolf form. His black fur was matted with ash. He stayed close to my flank ready to intercept any debris that might fall my way.

Once Upon An Alpha

Once Upon An Alpha

I was getting nowhere like this; I dodged her fiery balls of rage. Greta’s chest rapidly fell up and down. The more she let her anger dictate her actions, the more reckless and exhausted she became. The room filled with smoke as small fires began to crackle as they joined together. The decaying wood was the perfect food to fuel the fire. In the blink of an eye, the fire was growing faster and more robust. With the fire spreading and the treated timber on the walls, inhaling these fumes were dangerous. How could Greta, a damn fire witch, be this stupid?

This story is so good!! The author seems to put time and effort behind their characters!! And while peoples choices can be frustrating, baby beta looking at you, they all make sense with how the story is progressing and what’s happened! Couldn’t recommend this book enough!

I love this book. The author has created a wonderful world with well thought characters that I actually care about. The characters aren't perfect, they each have their own flaws and personalities. Each of them have grown in their own ways.

Ghost on the highway

Ghost on the highway

CHAPTER ELEVEN – FIRE AND LIES The fire spread faster than I thought possible. Flames licked the ridge like angry fingers, cracking the earth beneath our boots. The air was thick, choking, each breath burning my lungs. Luca clung to me, eyes wide with terror, and I felt a pulse of raw fear that made my hands shake—but I forced it down. There was no room for fear. Not now. Bishop’s laughter echoed over the inferno, carried by the wind like a promise of death. He had positioned himself above us, eyes glinting with satisfaction. And the second spark plug… glowing faintly red, perched on the edge of the ridge like a ticking bomb.

The Burning

The Burning

Fire was a living thing. I had learned that a long time ago. It breathed, it consumed, and it destroyed everything in its path. But this fire—this wildfire—was different. It wasn’t just alive. It was hungry. The flames roared behind us, devouring the dry forest in seconds, the sky above turning black with smoke. Every gust of wind sent embers spiraling into the air, carried on the back of a storm that seemed hell-bent on chasing us down. The heat was unbearable, like standing too close to an open furnace, and the air was thick with the acrid stench of burning wood and ash.

The Devil's Fire

The Devil's Fire

Althaia We kept running deeper into the depths of the dark woods. Our bare feet pounded on the forest floor, trying to escape the people chasing us and the bullets flying by. But my pace had slowed down. My body begged for even a small gulp of air, my lungs burning for a break, but I had to keep going. I still hadn’t fully recovered despite what I told Damiano. My body was weak and heavy, covered in sweat as my legs threatened to collapse. If it wasn’t for my mother's tight grip on my hand, pushing me to keep going, I would be dead.

Fire and Ice (Wilder Series #2)

Fire and Ice (Wilder Series #2)

- I just finished my homework only to suddenly remember that I have a project with the devil that is due in three days. I refuse to work with her out of school. Who knows what her intentions are. My phone begins to ring from my night table effectively cutting off my thoughts. I reach over and unplug the device before sliding the 'accept' button and waiting for the video chat to connect. As it connects I'm met with the face of Faith. "How did your talk with Aurelia go?" She asks, skipping the greetings "Nice to see you too, Faith" I say with a small laugh as I lean my back against my headboard
