One spider fell straight toward me, and I accepted it. Until something dark blocked it. It smelled like earth. The barrier shifted, and I saw Fredrick’s face. “Thank God. Just in time!” He reached out his hand. “Come on, Maddie!” I took Fredrick’s hand and struggled to stand. This time, I could clearly see the surroundings as the sun began to rise. Spider corpses were everywhere, along with the remains of unlucky participants. The broodmother’s fate was sealed. Her grotesque body lay collapsed on the ground, like a lump of black clay oozing a foul stench.

In short, it was a mixture of beauty and monstrosity in one body with it going more on the monster side. “My name is Theraphosa. I am Lord Arshild’s personal assistant and also guardian of his tomb. The fact that you passed through here already proves your true intention.” The spider-woman named Theraphosa said. “Guess the cat’s out of the bag?” Rain said with a sarcastic tone. “No cats are out of any bags. I only caught you lying.” “Yeah, that’s kinda what it means.”

Spartan was sprinting through the horde of Amaroks, taking them down as he did so and it appeared that he was also running away from something. “You can't outrun me!” the voice of the unseen god Moros could be heard through the horde. Spartan then crashed into something that felt as hard as concrete. An Amarok roared at him, its triple jaws coming down at him. Spartan thrust up his right hand and sent a yellow bolt of lightning blasting away the brains of the creature. The god then materialized from the aftermath of the blast and grabbed Spartan by the neck. He heaved him up and looked him directly in the eye.

I gagged like a cat with a hairball in the back of its throat. “How many guardians are there?” asked Maurice. “Two left,” said Joshaya. “They get bigger.” The giant spider lay on its back, its legs curled up and burnt-to-a-crisp. The horse’s rear end was sticking out of the spider’s maw, the arsehole staring right at me. I didn’t like the way it kept following me when I moved. The whole thing was horrifying. “What if it explodes and thousands of baby spiders come out?” said Maurice. Now it was even more horrifying.

The moment the spider gets stuck to the wall, it begins to elongate its legs in all directions and the once blue wall turns a glowing shade of red. The spider stretches out one of its legs towards Mia too but she's ready for it and quickly swats it away. “Not gonna happen,” she says and sprints out of the room before it can get her, effectively locking the door tight behind her so that the attack doesn’t extend outside the servers. She quickly makes an exit for herself- a swirling green door- and sprints out of the virtual world altogether.

She was always so straightforward, and I thought she might be trying to lighten the mood this time. "Nah, not happening," I panted. Talking and breathing simultaneously was a struggle. Margo's body was way cooler than mine, thanks to her supernatural abilities. She moved effortlessly, her steps light and confident, while I struggled to keep up, my lungs burning with each breath. This was muttered this time around with a striking vehemence, accentuated by the speed with which she staggered away from Freya. What the hell! Margo mentally screamed, perusing the girl that was one of the chosen ones. The latter’s eyes were dancing flames. Smoke puffed from her nostrils and ears, as if there was liquid fire inside her. A white pulsing sac of eggs was slung under her body. The queen spider. Helia gripped her sword tightly and aimed her crossbow at the beast. She fired an arrow and it hit her in the abdomen. However, the spider was big enough the bolt angered her more than injured her. The queen spider hissed and scuttled down from the tree toward Helia, eight legs thumping like a galloping horse as they hit the ground. When she drew close, Helia swung her sword. But the huge spider arched up, raising its clawed front legs before slamming them down at the slayer. Helia leaped back, dodging the strike. She leaped forward again, slicing at the legs that tried to impale her. One clawed leg tip flew to the side,

They were all screaming Elspeth's name. Silently I stood up from where she attacked me. She has no knowledge that I blocked her attack. I sighed and removed the waterfall braids onto my hair before I break their fun. "Silence!" I screamed loud, and with one word, what I wanted was then granted. Pure silence covered the place as I ascend, glowing because of my aura. I held my head high and turned my gaze to the demons around me. With a glare, one by one they went down onto their knees. "I am Veronica Vane. I am your one and only true Queen and Herald. No impostor can bring me down to the ground."
