If you did an Avengers room, you could augment the Spider-Man you already have with Black Panther. And Captain America. And the Hulk.”

I gape. “We might have been having people collect them for you when they visit the human realm,” he says sheepishly. Emma responds. “I pray so too,” I say making my way inside the cinema. I join the queue to get our tickets for ‘Avengers: End game’ and Ismail joins the same queue. “That’s it! There is no way you can tell me you are a Marvel fan,” I say not understanding why he is following me everywhere I go today. “For your information, I am,” he says. “Prove it to me.” I say not believing him. For the past ten minutes that we have both been standing in the queue, Ismail has proved to me that he is a bigger Marvel fan than I am.

With that, we strolled away with our hands intertwined and went to watch a movie. ~*~ The movie was done, and we went out of the cinema with empty popcorn cartons in our grasp. We'd watched an action movie— it was the newly released Marvel Avengers. I was so stoked, and it honestly made me escape the reality for a bit and relished the moment.

“Yeah. Andy Samberg is comedy gold. The whole cast is—” “Amazeballs?” he teased. “I was going to say awesomesauce, thank you very much.” He chuckled and turned his attention back to the TV. “DC or Marvel?” “DC.” “Nope. It’s Marvel all the way.” “You’re wrong.” I grabbed another chip and broke it in half. “The Marvel movies are way better.” “I’ll give you that, but if we’re comparing actual cannon, like the comics and stories, then DC wins hands down.”

“Is something wrong?” “No.” I coughed. “I’m totally fine.” “I noticed that whenever I bring up Tommy you get tense. Or blank out.” “It’s normal. We had history.” “Okay.” He said. “I... um... do you want to go on a movie date with me. Tonight. I mean... everyone’s been talking about Avengers: Doomsday, and though it kills me I haven’t seen it, I wanted to see it with you.” I smiled. “Okay, Marvel guy.” I accepted. “I actually thought you saw it the day it was released, considering the fact you’re obsessed with Marvel.”
