Leo rolled his eyes, “And people will believe that?”
“I’m hoping they’ll be drunk enough not to notice,” I said, reaching for the lipstick.
I had had little energy to put into my appearance since Cato was born and for the first time in weeks, I’d done my hair, changed out of my sweatpants and hoody and put make-up on.
“Talking of…” I continued, “I’ve pumped Cato’s milk for tonight so your Mom can feed him… and also for all day tomorrow… so I can drink tonight.”
