I looked down immediately.
"Come on, child; we do not have time. I need to help you get away. Too many people have died already. You can't die too." She said, and I began to giggle. My mind was messing with me. After what I have done in Redcape, no one would want to help me. I felt my binds losen, and I gentle brought my hand forward to be sure they were free. I slowly stepped away from the stake to be sure I wasn't dead, and my spirit was the one leaving my body. I wasn't on the stake anymore.
"Come on, wear this," Martha said, handing me some warm clothes. They were mine. Jeans, T-shirts, socks, gloves, a head warmer, and a thick sweater Clay had bought for me.
