Chapter 132 Matthew sat in his office, his eyes fixed on the footage from the bar. His fingers drummed against the desk in frustration as he rewound the video for the fifth time. His head was pounding, and a feeling of unease settled deep within him as he watched it unfold. The footage was clear enough, the moment he’d entered the bar, everything had seemed normal. But then, he saw it. The waitress, smiling sweetly, had brought him a drink. He hadn’t thought anything of it at the time, but now he could see the slight hesitation in her movements, the subtle way she slid something into his glass before handing it to him.

he rasped, his voice barely audible. I hesitated, but Lucas’ hand on my arm grounded me. “We need to leave,” he said. I nodded, unable to trust myself to say anything else. Lucas stepped past me, catching eyes with Matthew. “I hope you suffer before you die,” he said, his voice laced with venom. “Every second of what's left in your miserable life.” Matthew coughed, blood bubbling at the corners of his mouth, but he didn’t answer. We walked back to the car, leaving him there, bleeding and broken.

“Now!” Most of the Ravennites had been asleep, but they immediately jumped to their feet at Matheus’ command. “Gather your weapons, only what you can carry!” he ordered in a sharp tone. “Hurry, there’s no time!” “What’s going on?” One of them asked intently. Matheus only gave him a slight glance before heading over to grab his sword and bow. “Rowan’s gone,” he answered straightforwardly. “The Domineer as well.”

He had forgiven her, and she burst into tears when Matthew finally embraced her too. “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven; whose sins are covered.” Matthew declared, smiling. “Psalm thirty-two, verse one. God bless us all. Amen.”

The cathedral watched in silence. Blood pooled beneath them. Matteo leaned in, his voice low but still carried across the room as though he used a mic, his voice sounded like a prayer of vengeance. “You’re not a god. You’re not even a king. You’re just a weak man clinging to power. And now... everyone will know who owns you.” He stood, chest heaving, eyes wild. The Circle said nothing. I couldn’t see what it was from here. Matteo stood tall, covered in blood then he turned to the crowd.

Dominco stopped walking as soon as he heard the word source and turned to face him. "And?" "Ohh so now you're responding,you're no longer pissed now are you!!" Matthew chucked as Dominco just kept staring at him waiting for the information he was about to pass,when he saw that Matthew wasn't going to say anything he continued walking, getting to the window he saw that it didn't come off its hinges he released a breath,since the door was closed and he needed to see what was inside the building,his only way in would have to be through this window,still contemplating on whether he should go in Matthew spoke.

He spat his blood on my face. “Wrong answer!” I drove my knife into the same spot I had been stabbing for a while on his lap and his screams filled my ears. “Jesus!” Mark shivered as I turned my gaze on him. “Jesus isn't here with you, dear Mark, I am.” I wiped my face with the kerchief Marcus offered me. He tried to get off the chains by binding his hands but he couldn't. They were too tight. “Did you really think you could escape?” I grabbed a chair and took a seat in front of him.

Once he finished, he returned to his desk and sat down.

The sound echoed through the walls. “Stop! Stop the ritual!” a voice yelled. Matthew ignored it, his eyes glowing as he continued chanting. But the voice grew louder. I turned my head weakly and saw one of the guards running toward the door, trying to break in. “What’s happening?” I gasped. Matthew didn’t answer, but he frowned and raised his hand, forming a glowing barrier around the room. “Stay still. Don’t move,” he warned. The door burst open. One of the warriors stumbled in, his face twisted in panic. “They’re coming! We have to stop—”
