I sensed Aether’s presence right behind me, his footsteps close. When we reached my room, the weight of it all finally broke me. I collapsed onto the bed, clutching my face as sobs tore through me again. Moments later, [Rina P.O.V] The corridors of Aetherion were no longer a gauntlet of whispers and sneers. Today, they felt like a runway. My black stiletto boots clicked against the polished stone with a rhythmic, predatory grace, each step punctuated by the sway of my high silver ponytail. At whatever the living memory of the original intention was telling him about a third bloodline that had been trying to establish for three generations.

Murmurs rippled through the group. "He's telling the truth," Kyle said quietly beside Natzy. She turned to him. "What?" "He's a genius," Kyle said, his gaze fixed on Naro. "He sees patterns most people don't." "A game?" Natzy repeated, skeptical. "VEDRAH is a trial ground," Kyle said. "We're judged here. Hunted by what we've done. The worst of what we are."
