The Last Beat

The Last Beat

'In case I don't live forever, let me tell you now I love you more than you'll ever wrap your head around In case I don't live forever, let me tell you the truth I'm everything that I am because of you' I stopped for a second as I could feel my voice breaking because of how much I wanted to cry. Gab, he moved closer to me and even started slowly patting my arm about his tummy. 'I, I've carried this song in my mind Listen, it's echoing in me But I haven't helped you to hear it We, we've only got so much time I'm pretty sure it would kill me If you didn't know the pieces of me are pieces of you

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars because it deserves it! This book is worth the read! It is intriguing and suspenseful filled with the need to want to uphold a century long treaty of peace but it is all starting to crash when love and fate steps in and turn everything upside down.

In Death, You Finally Learned to Love Me

In Death, You Finally Learned to Love Me

Even the arm holding the phone trembled visibly. I floated beside him, watching his every reaction closely. A bitter smile curled my lips. When I was alive, I called him 100 times. He never believed me. He never came to save me. I sent him my medical records and my pregnancy test reports. He had brushed them off as tricks, thinking I was just using them to pick a fight. Even after I died, the voice messages he sent me were filled with one demand—never step foot in the Jones family home again.

After Death, I Gave Up

After Death, I Gave Up

"Everyone always said you were born cursed. Just like that psychic said, you'd be the one to ruin me and keep me from what was rightfully mine. Even after they sent you away, I was still terrified. You not being dead is my nightmare every single night." Melody looked like a madwoman. "Later, I found that psychic again," she spat. "He was nothing but a fraud. My parents paid him well, so he pretended to be clever and made up a bunch of rubbish. But I wasn't satisfied. You deserved to die. I got this statue from him. He told me that if I stuffed a person's birth data and hair into it, I could burn that person's life away and make it serve me. So what if I copied your designs, Charlotte? It's a

Goodbye Means Never Again

Goodbye Means Never Again

No matter how many times she pressed it, the phone stayed dead. It was no different from Noah's heart—unmoved and unchanging no matter how much warmth she gave. She stared at the useless device for a long time. Then, she pulled out the SIM card, tossed the phone into the nearest trash can, and began walking home with slow, unhurried steps.

Let My Death Complete Your Rhythm

Let My Death Complete Your Rhythm

He stood before the cameras with red-rimmed eyes and a face full of despair, declaring, "My beloved Lyra isn't dead! She can't be! I'll find her. She's my only wife!" I took a sip of my coffee calmly, not feeling anything. Jude had never loved me this deeply before, and I never expected that my "death" was required to awaken his love. Nonetheless, I no longer needed anyone's love because I had every reason to love myself. Based on my dedication and work ethic, I was quickly promoted at the hospital. At the same time, I didn't give up my research in regenerative medicine. However, I never submitted any of my papers again.
