The movie night happened on a Friday. Sofia chose the film: some mindless action-comedy from ten years ago. Explosions, bad one-liners, zero romance. She set up the living room herself blankets on the couch, popcorn in three bowls, lights dimmed but not too dark. She didn’t want it to feel intimate. She wanted it to feel safe.
