It was winter period when I first found my mate, she was beautiful and fair, had skin as white as snow, her hair was as flowy as velvet, and she had the voice of an angel. Perhaps, I was biased because she was mine, but it was the truth, one thing that kept me from pursuing her at first was that she was a witch. We werewolves and witches were not that close, we tend to get on each other’s nerves, so I knew my father would not approve, he was big on keeping to the rules.

She wanted to see him and tell him how she felt, and she wouldn't give up on them again. “Listen, Mia.” Bianca got her attention again. Mia looked back at her and saw that her eyes were even harder than before. She took a deep breath as if she were preparing herself. For what? Mia didn't know. “Listen, the witches, they are not as they seem.” ‘They’ and not ‘we.’ That was interesting. “Sure they look perfect. They smile. They act friendly, but none of those are real. They are good witches out there, but Mother Nyx and her coven?” She shook her head. “They are anything but good.”

“I’m shocked that you’d think so highly of me. Starlight Entertainment is known for being fair. Wouldn’t you agree?” Every word she said was powerful, and it made Victor shut up. His hands, which were on his lap, were balled up into fists as he looked at her with hatred. Maia added, “This seat is not yours. The Horizon Award places the utmost importance on order. You should leave. It’s rude to claim a seat that’s not rightfully yours.” “Are you

“They won't change their minds, and you know that. They want nothing to do with you if you continue this... this foolishness.” She paused, her voice lowering to a dangerous whisper. “It would be better if you let Aiden go.”" But mother, I love him. Aiden is my mate. The bond we share is beyond anything I’ve ever felt. Please, let me marry him," I pleaded, my voice trembling with emotion. But my mother's face was hardened, her eyes shadowed with a deep, knowing sadness. "Seraphina, you cannot marry him. The coven will never allow it. You must understand… If you choose this path, it will be the end of you. But, I love you so much more than watching you die before my eyes.

I can only surmise that the witches are as bad as their werewolf masters. “Edric!” Maya suddenly screams so loudly in my head that she pops a vessel in my nose and blood starts streaming down my mouth and chin.
