That Stranger Lying Beside Me

That Stranger Lying Beside Me

Looking at Azalea and the lovely gift, Meadow asked, "What would you like to tell me?" "Mrs. Davis, I'm sorry!" Azalea placed the gift on top of the tea table and her eyes soon turned watery. She knelt at Meadow and apologized, "It was my fault last night and I am aware that you are upset at me! I apologize and would be ready to accept any punishment from you!" "I am indeed feeling mad at you! Why did you claim that there is nothing between you and Michael? What was your intention of embarrassing me in public? Were you intending to take advantage of me?"

Her memories went back to the moment where she met Alta for the first time. "Eh, sorry, I didn't mean to." Reina crouched down to get the book splattered across the floor without seeing the owner's face. "Ma am, it's okay, I was wrong." Alta took the book from Reina's hand. "It's my fault for rushing so it brings to this little crash, so I'm sorry," Reina said with her sorry feeling. "It's no problem, ma'am," Alta gave a friendly smile to Reina.

A Price for Humiliation

A Price for Humiliation

I was the reason he ascended to a rank that would otherwise have been possible in his lifetime. Was he going to have to beg shamelessly? To be mocked and ridiculed by the same people he used to trample over? All it took was a couple of setbacks for his already meager flame to be reduced to all but a pathetic wisp of smoke. I had been too good to him. I always believed my sincerity would be rewarded. In the end, all I did was let the two vermin take advantage of me. They were freeloaders through and through. Elena went on with a faint tinge of helplessness in her voice, "As for Miss Elena… She seems quite displeased with the way things have turned out.

My Billionaire Ex-Husband Won’t Let Me Go

My Billionaire Ex-Husband Won’t Let Me Go

Later that afternoon, I needed some air. I walked over to a cafe close to the company, hoping for a moment of peace. Instead, I unexpectedly ran into Athena. She was sitting alone in a corner booth. She looked visibly distressed, her hair messy, her hands shaking as she held her cup. When she saw me, she didn’t glare. She just looked exhausted. Before I could even speak, she looked up at me. “I made terrible mistakes, Mia,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “I did so many awful things because I believed Mara’s lies.”

Show Me Your Remorse

Show Me Your Remorse

Freddie held Gabriella and said, "I'm sorry. I was too selfish. I just wanted to have fun. I never imagined it would go this far and ultimately cost Mr. Harding his life. I deserve to die, too! If I could, I'd follow him and never come back." Gabriella looked up through tear-filled eyes and pressed his hand against her face. "It's not your fault. It's all those abductors' fault. I blame myself for being ruthless in expanding the company in my early years, which led to this situation."

Mourning Interrupted: A Scandal Laid Bare

Mourning Interrupted: A Scandal Laid Bare

"Rosalie's just too soft-hearted to say no to anyone. How is any of this her fault? It's your fault. If you hadn't selfishly drained her account of that eight million, she would have bought me a new car by now! It's your fault she was humiliated at the dealership when she couldn't pay! You'd better return the money!" As soon as he finished, a hail of blows rained down on me. Several strikes hit my stomach, leaving me gasping and nearly stumbling as my face paled. Lester's grin widened. "That's more like it. Now you look exactly like the good-for-nothing leech you are. Smile for the camera. I'll send a picture of you to all the rich ladies out there. Maybe one of them will take a liking to yo

FALLEN PROMISE

FALLEN PROMISE

Carmela’s tears fell freely now, tracing the curve of her cheek as she whispered brokenly, “I’m so sorry, baby. I’m so sorry.” Her words were soft, almost as if she were pleading with a higher power for forgiveness she wasn’t sure she could ever earn. Every apology she whispered felt inadequate, unable to heal the pain in Clarissa’s eyes or ease the torment in her own heart. She had promised herself she would always be there for her daughter, that nothing would ever harm her while she had breath in her body. But now, faced with this strange and terrifying change that seemed beyond her control, she couldn’t shake the suffocating guilt that weighed down on her. What had she missed? What had sh

Rejected: Mated To The Young Human Luna

Rejected: Mated To The Young Human Luna

"Found anything?" "No." Avery said. "Just this book that appears to be large and old," Cornelia explained. "Did you say old?" Mia asked. Cornelia nodded, and Mia dashed over to her. "Give me the book." Cornelia bent down, carried the book up, and placed it on the table. The dust was so thick that the girls began to cough. Mia covered her nose with one arm while dusting the book with the other. "Let's see what we can come up with in there." Mia flipped open the cover, which was quite heavy. She was taken aback when she couldn't find anything. As she began flipping the papers one after the other, her gaze met the rest of them.

Meet My Brothers

Meet My Brothers

However, this time, Fiona seemed less arrogant, wearing a somewhat worn expression. Maintaining a composed demeanor, Mia calmly inquired, "What brings you here?" Suddenly, Fiona dropped to her knees with a thud, speaking earnestly, "Ms. Mia, I must confess that I fell victim to Wilhelmina's schemes. "Regrettably, I mistakenly believed the issue was connected to you, and I realize my words may have offended you. I sincerely apologize. Please forgive me!" Mia was taken aback by this sudden display of humility. In shock, she took a step back and asked, "What are you doing?"

Wanda M Estremera
This started out really good and then just turned into a slap fest, author mixed up her characters and time-line. The booked dragged on and on with irrelevant plot twist only to have a rushed unresolved ending. Was truly disappointed with the second half and ending of this book

Dear author you did a fine job with this book Great cliffhangers although there was a little mix up of characters at some point asides that it's a very fine book. Search Between Love and Revenge a fine book to read too.
