Why can't I remember? I was back in the jungle. My head felt like it was splitting into two halves. Slowly, I started piecing my memories together. The younger me was me and the younger Cara was Cara. I knew her all this while. I just forgot everything after the accident. The doctors had told me it wasn't anything major. They had said I just have a temporal memory block. They failed to mention that I had lost some of the most treasured memories I've ever had. No wonder she hates me so much. Now I understood.

Juliet inquired. "The probable reason she can't remember anything is a temporary memory loss, or she might also be driven by motivated forgetting." The private doctor next to uncle answered. "I don't understand, why would I experience memory loss?" My voice cracked as I laughed at the absurbity of their words. "Max, why don't you eat first, your stomach had been empty for days," Lex suggested. The skin on my forehead crinkled at the expression of his face, but I disregarded it, "Where's Mom and Baba? Cayden's POV I look out the window aimlessly. I am bothered these past few days. I don't know if they are real or not. But every night, I woke up having dreams of August. My jaw clenched. If my hunch is correct, they are my missing memory. Yeah, I know I lost part of my memory. I accidentally heard it from my mother and I forgot one specific person. I didn't know before who I forgot, but now somehow I am convinced that it is August.

We got close to the end of the room and I noticed an open door. I couldn’t make out what was on the door but my curiosity got the best of me… So, of course, I headed towards it. Titan noticed I let go of him and turned and followed me. “Oh, I bet Ramses is in there!” Titan said. “Unfortunately this door and another in here were open when I came in, and the memories were trashed too. It will take a lot longer to clean those back up, if we can.” Titan said. “What do you mean, if we can?” I asked him. “Well, memories are stored inside, and if the memory itself gets damaged, then I'm not sure we can fix it. I just don’t know.” He said.

Summer's face had gone very still. "Gray," she said softly. "There's no fixing it," I said. "I need you to understand that. It's going to get worse. I'm going to forget things. I already do.
