I waited, just for fun, then let the silence draw out. Jack squirmed, like he thought I was about to say no. I was about to say yes when my eyes caught on a movement at the corner table by the emergency exit. A man sat there, alone, reading a book with a matte black cover. He was tall even while seated, with sharp cheekbones and hands too elegant for anyone under forty. His hair was dark and perfect. His jacket—expensive, probably custom-tailored—was so out of place in The Morgue it felt like he’d been CGI’d into the scene.

He said and I raised my eyebrow. “You do?” “Yes, I do. I was known as a geek in a highschool. And a nerd, I was always reading and reading. I read romance novel whenever I'm bored. But I'm more interested in reading any book that has to do with finance.” He said and I nodded my head in approval. “Wow. I like the fact that you read. I've not met a lot of men that likes to read.” I told him and he nodded. “Yes definitely, j can understand where you're coming from, but trust me, I feel like there are men out there who actually read a lot. I just think the society has made it look like, only women are interested in books.” He said and I nodded.

If Malik felt the same way, he must understand why I had to leave my room to find something better than a nonfiction book on the Love pack. Then he holds up the book he had chosen, and I yelp. A man held a naked woman against him, her private areas covered primarily by only a thin veil of silk fabric. His face was by her neck, as she clung to his back, that was enveloped by a thin sheen of sweat. Clearly, they are amidst the throes of passion, or close to it. Large font pronouncing something I didn't want to consider suggested what kind of book he had produced. Some sort of raunchy, sexy romance novel.

It takes him a moment to read the room. All four of the guys are standing with one of my books in their hands. I know what each one is by glancing briefly at the covers. All of them are erotica, werewolf, and absolutely filthy. I have had to read most of them one handed and almost always fantasised about Phoenix and I as the main characters. “What the hell is going on? Why is Rose embarrassed?” Phoenix glares at his brothers as he steps in front of me. How did he know I’m embarrassed? He’s right, I’m absolutely mortified.

He said, giving the burger packet to Amber and placing cold coffee on the table. “Your…” She could not hide her concern, and he smiled before replying” I want to read what that book is telling about sex, That I didn't know”. He closed the door before leaving the room and placed it near one machine and read the title of the book” His Lust” He opened the book where she had put a fold on the top paper to remember where she had stopped last time, but he also found many folds in the book. He opened the first fold and read.

We needed all the evidence we could get against Mr Ranault even if it means coming to see a stranger alone in a library. The library had another floor for history and science while the bottom floor was for kids books and pretty much basic stuff. I searched around the ground floor of the library but there was only two teenagers,some women and two nerdy collage guys. There is no way any of these people had that manly voice I heard on the phone last night. Just as I was about to go upstairs,I saw a man seating in one of the chairs with a book in his hands titled: A little life. The man had brown skin like dark chocolate. * * * Tyler "Dude, are you reading?" I looked at Hunter who stood beside me against the wall with a book in his hand. I honestly thought there was nothing more surprising than this. I knew he could read, but I just thought he was more of a picture-person than words-person since he usually read Playboy. The book in his hand, however, wasn't a magazine; it was actually a real book. A thick one, I observed. I moved closely without making any noises then took the book from right under his nose. "Man, give it back! I'm not finished!" Hunter crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked at me annoyed.

He looks surprised at what I did. “Are you sure your okay? We can do it another time.” “Sebastian, I’m perfectly fine now. So you read all these books or just for decoration purposes to makes you look cool and mighty.” I smile at him as if nothing happened. “Cool and mighty?” He looks amused. The smile alone makes my heart flutters. “Yeah. I like a man who read books, and I find them cool and mighty.” He nods. “I keep that in mind. Those are not just for decoration purposes. I read most of them. I don’t have a particular genre. A few of them were my college books.”

“I didn’t peg you for the brooding type.” He smirked faintly. “That’s because you haven’t seen the worst of me.” There was something about the way he said it. Not a threat. Not a confession. More like a promise. I walked farther into the room, drawn by the warmth of the fire and something far more dangerous. Books lined the walls from floor to ceiling. Real ones. Not for show. Well-read. Annotated. One of them was still open beside the whiskey. I nodded toward it. “What are you reading?”

We were sitting on the couch together in the quiet of the penthouse. I had one of the Russian books in my lap with my legs over Marek’s lap. His hand rested on my ankle and the other held up one of the books I recently finished. I was surprised when he picked up the young adult fantasy book but considering he flipped to somewhere close to the middle, he’d been reading it without me knowing. Considering it was a pretty fluffy story, it was hard to keep from smirking when I looked up at him.
