I couldn’t have done it without your support.” ************ The Plaza One afternoon Kaitlyn has been walking full of energy through the plaza before she heads back home after a late lunch date with Lydia and Evelyn over their business collaboration. Her mind had been occupied when she caught sight of a familiar figure standing by one of the fountains. Her steps faltered, her breath catching in her throat as she recognized him instantly; Michael.

Kenny's messages were piling up in my bag unread and unanswered, and I couldn't make myself care about any of it. Not right now. Not with the document sitting in my chest and Michael's hand warm and steady and asking nothing. Eventually the cold got serious. "Come on," Michael said quietly. He stood and pulled me up with him, and we walked out of the park without deciding where we were going. Just walking. His shoulder occasionally brushing mine. Michael stays with me, leading the way as we make our way down the streets. I watch the humans with curiosity as they walk, laughing with friends or determined to get to their destinations. Two men in business suits walk by with coffees in their hands, chatting about their office lives. On the far corner of the street, a couple stands on either side of a child, holding his hands as he crosses the street.

He was so flustered and kind of angry as he crawled out of the bed, that I felt a bit bad. Anyway he didn't say anything. I opened the door for him and he quickly walked out. I stepped out after him and closed the door behind me. Michael had already started walking hastily through the empty corridors without waiting for me. He was perhaps afraid someone would step out of their room and see him here along with me. " I can g..go alone now. You may go for practice.", he said once we reached down the steps. " What about you coming with me for jogging ?", I asked.

OCTAVIA'S POV Every person we passed as we walked by stopped what they were doing and nodded their heads in respect to my father. Lionel walked ahead with his usual commanding presence, and I followed closely; Aaron walked silently to my left like an unshakable shadow, while Mikel trailed slightly behind.

“He honestly kind of reminds me of Rafe, didn’t you notice? They have the same aura.” I scoffed. “How would I know?” I certainly didn’t want to think if Michael was similar to Rafe. Probably just their archangel names. “Hey, it’s going to be fine,” he assured. I smiled. “Thanks for the ride.” “See you tomorrow, Savi.” “See you.” Carter ran to his car and drove away. I spun around and only noticed Michael behind me. He was leaning on the wall behind the door. “God, Michael.” I touched my chest in surprise. Was he listening? “Yep. Start talking…”

Atkins stands by the doors, peering cautiously out through a narrow crack between them. Eventually, Maya steps into the garage. His expression is solemn, and his face is covered with sweat. “It’s okay,” he says to Atkins. “You can return to the house. Take them to another bedroom. We have to clean up.” Atkins nods, but my feet refuse to move. I take deep breaths, thankful that Alfredo is alive. “I need a minute,” I tell him. “I have to catch my breath.”

When the car stopped, it pitched black outside but as Michael pulled me out of the car, the lights of the city below us came into view. Michael sat down on a rock, his legs dangling over the edge of a steep cliff. He made me sit in front of him, between his legs, and held me tightly, his arms were snaked around my body, keeping me warm.

My main focus was Noah and getting the rest of the omegas. Which is why I was thankful Michael was there and took care of Anthony while I rescued Noah.
