After a long pause, he dismissed Mike with a wave. Left alone, he leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling. Vincent thought he had won. He thought he had Amelia wrapped around his fingers. But Alessandro wasn’t done yet. Not even close. And he was about to remind them exactly who they were dealing with.

“Please, who are you?” I turned to face Vince, sure enough there was an amused look on his face. His eyes were moving from Mike to me, quietly doing a silent evaluation. “He is the CEO of the company. Mr. Vincent Smith.” I introduced them. “Sir, this is my fiance….” “Mike, isn’t it?” Vince cut me off with a smirk, as he faced Mike properly. “Yes.” Mike quickly replied. “It's an honor to meet you, Sir.” Vince nodded. “I didn’t know you were visiting.”

My gaze met with a pair of hazel eyes, my mouth parting slightly. "Vincent," I said, taking a step back. His gaze roamed down my body shamelessly, his eyes darkening slightly. He was wearing a dark grey t-shirt and black jeans, his arms and neck fully covered with tattoos. He was tall, taller than Logan by probably an inch. Vincent’s face was covered with a beard, making him look more attractive and dangerous. Vincent is Micah's eldest son and he is 20 years old.

I yelled holding my stomach. Just like Xavier decided to listen to me he stopped, his mischievous face stared at my red face as he looked at his face in the mirror and arranged his hair. He flashed his killer smile then nodded in satisfaction. "Have the worst day, Candy" He said with a smirk on his face. Xavier threw his bag pack over his left shoulder as he jumped down from the truck and walked over to my side to open the door for me. His signature smirk was still on his face as helped me down then brought out his phone from his pocket.

Nancy groaned in annoyance before delivering a kick to the boy's groin, she hadn't intended to hit him there but she also could not have seen where her leg went in the dark. "Damn...what is wrong with you?" Mikey yelled, fully awake and aware of his surroundings. "What the fuck..." he started when he realized his eyes were opened and yet couldn't see a thing. "Tommy?" He panicked. "Tommy, baby, where are you?" He too began his own search. Nancy hissed, "Shit." She whispers and throws her middle finger into her mouth. Mike halt. "What?" Pulling the finger away from her mouth, "I cut myself." She spat the blood out and crawled on.

Furious, he lunged forward and grabbed Mike by the throat. Mike thrashed against his grip, fighting to keep control of the wheel. Finally, he swerved onto a deserted stretch of road before slamming on the brakes. Vincent didn't waste a second. He threw the door open and bolted. But Mike was no ordinary man. He tore after Vincent with startling speed, closing the distance between them quickly. "You're not getting away!" he yelled. "You're my ticket to a big payday. Once I hand you over, I'm set for life!"

His eyes are watching them with interest. "Leave them. I want Xavier to teach him a lesson. He should never be underestimated," I want to disagree but I sigh and stay back. Mike is on the floor by now and Xavier pulls him roughly off the floor and throws him against a pillar. People gasp and move away from the pillar. When Mike falls to the ground, there's a dent filled with cracks on the wall of the pillar. He's now coughing as blood spills out of his mouth in splotches.

or maybe he was just tired from banging that waitress. “Mrs. Liam,” Mike called as he held the door open for me. “We’re home,” he said. A heavy, deep sigh left my lips as I stared outside once more. Home... a home where I’m not welcome. Turning back to Vincent, I gave him a gentle nudge, and his eyes snapped open. “We’re home,” I repeated Mike’s words. Vincent simply nodded and alighted from the car, then headed toward the house without waiting for me or even turning to see if I was following behind him.
