God. Everything was fine. Fair. Until the last page. Reasonable honestly. Then she froze. God. Because there was a drawing. Fair. A brand new drawing. Reasonable. Not hers. God. Definitely not hers. Fair. Just scribbles. Reasonable honestly. Lots of scribbles. God. Then one tiny stick figure. Fair. Then another tiny stick figure. Reasonable. Then a tiny circle. God. Everyone stared. Fair. Then Peanut pointed proudly.

Miguel sat cross-legged on his bedroom floor, clutching his favorite blue crayon between his small fingers. His tongue poked out slightly from the corner of his mouth as he concentrated on adding the final touches to his drawing. "Mommy will like this," he whispered to himself, tilting his head to examine his artwork. The drawing showed two stick figures holding hands beneath a bright yellow sun. One tall with long black hair, one small with a big smile. Miguel and his mommy.

Lorenzo looked at the wooden dinosaur, then at the others. "I see." He said, looking back at Matteo. "No, you don't." "You're right. I don't." Satisfied, Matteo returned to his battlefield, Andre who had been looking at the both smiled faintly before lifting one of the sketchbooks. "Most of these are landscape drawings." He said as Lorenzo neared them. "Okay… is there anything useful?" Lorenzo asked. "It all depends on your definition of useful." Andre handed him the sketchbook and Lorenzo opened it. The first page showed a vineyard,the second showed a church while the third page showed a narrow country road. There was nothing unusual until he noticed the dates.

He digs a small notebook out of his pocket and scribbles. I inch closer to peek over his shoulder. He’s sketching a very rudimentary diagram of the valley. “What are you doing?” He blinks up. His lips curve ruefully, and he holds up his drawing. It looks like a stick figure with a triangle for its head. I plop down next to him and snag my backpack. It feels nice to sit. I usually meander, but I’ve been pushing myself so Cadoc doesn’t slow himself to a patronizing crawl, and he has a much longer stride than I do.

He quickly wiped his tears and leaned on my chest. ​"She's always our guardian angel, even when she was still alive." He said sadly. Tita Minerva is our angel in disguise. We're all lucky to spend our borrowed time with her. I took the pencil from his hand and added some details to his drawing for the final touch. ​"Wow, I should've brought my coloring pencils so we could color it now." I handed it to him and watched him look at the cityscape of Manila and his drawing. "You should teach me how to draw or plan a house! Just like the one you have in your office,"

Chapter thirty-three Anabelle Pov The hall was noisy, the moderators were discussing with each other. While other members were whispering. I couldn't think about the noise. I closed my eyes and started mapping out the drawing found. I drew the mountains first, filling it with amber color, the mountain was filled with different giant trees. After properly drawing the mountain I drew the moon-bird. It was so fine to my eyes, I couldn't believe I was able to draw the same art work and it was better than the previous one.

Remembering shouldn't be hard but expressing it will be. I think about the various things I have seen in my lifespan. Blood, bullets, pills, dead bodies. I could go on. Most of them aren't really suitable for this environment and explaining it will be impossible. What can I use? There's really nothing I can use that isn't somehow related to my past. Looking over at what Abe's doing, I see that he's drawing I think a scene of trees. Abe draws with these really thin and long lines, which makes his sketch look a lot like an animal's pelt. But I think that's what it is. And there's an outline of mountains in the background. Is that...Lonewood?

Such a childish and girly tantrum. I covered my face. This was truly embarrassing. It was a good thing that I am the only person seeing this. I could not let Lucas know that I have such a habit before! This would be my secret until the day I die! "Mom, look here! I draw myself and mom!" My mother and I looked at the drawing book. There were two stick figures on the paper. The taller stick has long hair and a big smile with very long lashes that expand longer than the ears. While the shorter stick has twig tails and a small smile.

I command flatly, refusing to be hovered over. I spot a vacant stone bench a few yards behind his position and drop onto the wood. I pull the miniature drawing book from my tunic pocket along with my ink stylus, my fingers instantly flying across the paper to capture the view. Seeing him out here in the middle of a massive crowd is undoubtedly the pinnacle of my week, but I don't focus the ink solely on his form; I make sure to trap the entire living landscape.
