Midnight Horror Show

Midnight Horror Show

They were all pretty convincing. A big spiral-bound notebook made of drawing paper lay on the chair. I flipped through a few pages. Some had charcoal drawings made with angry looking strokes. Dark and rough, but still recognizable as fields and hills you’d find around here. Other pages had diagrams in pen with clusters of spidery notes. Prop guillotines and coffins with spring-loaded lids. But most of the pages had monsters. Some drawn, some cut from movie magazines and pasted in. Some were more Polaroids of James in makeup; others were ordinary pictures of people from advertisements or news stories. On those he’d painted open-throat wounds or gouged out eyes with pen.

A Deal With the Arrogant Billionaire

A Deal With the Arrogant Billionaire

She had no plans of leaving. She opened her bag and brought out a file containing the project she was working on. It was a total of ten drafts and three final sketches she had drawn within an approximate of two days. The first two drafts were pretty messy but she began achieving what her expected sketches from the third draft. She first presented two pictures that that given her inspiration to the woman. The first picture was that of a lady standing opposite a mirror from which there was a hand presenting to her a red flower that was slowly melting to blood. Bewitched by the mirror, the lady stretched forth her hand to take the melting flower.

Sentenced to Marriage

Sentenced to Marriage

Michael made me try on twenty of his designed gowns, as if I were his favorite doll. "Now, I finally know what you need," he said, grabbing a sheet of paper and starting to sketch something. Miranda and I silently watched his hand draw swift lines that eventually blended into a beautiful gown design. When he finished, he proudly turned the sheet of paper our way so we could judge his creation. Once I saw the sketch, my heart began to pound. He had drawn a beautiful dress with a jewel neckline, a waistline that was delicately outlined with a band, and a mermaid skirt with a fishtail back.

A very lovely book..The entire story line was a perfectly synced and the story was carried out gracefully .From the starting am following this book i dont know how time passed and this book ended and after seeing many ups and downs of CORA and AREN they have formed a special place in my heart .

I am loving this book. I especially love that Cora is not timid and afraid to speak her mind like a lot of other books portray their main female character. I read all the chapters in a day and now anxiously await future updates!

Her Daughter’s Lover

Her Daughter’s Lover

“Can I see?” Another breath. Then he nodded. I flipped the sketchpad open gently. The first page was a forest scene—shaky lines, rough shading. The second page was better. The third… better still. But the fourth page stole my breath entirely. It was me. Not a perfect rendition. Not a flattering or glamorous one. But real. Me holding Aria as a baby. Me laughing with Cassian in the kitchen. Me sitting on the porch steps staring at the sunset. Me asleep on Lucian’s chest.

Tangled Love

Tangled Love

I ask, she brings her eyes back to me, this time she searches my face and I do the same. She has baby blue eyes, thick eyebrows, freckles sprinkled on her little button nose and her pouty lips are red, not lipstick red but natural red. It's like meeting Snow White in the flesh. She hesitates at first but she extends the notebook to me, I notice that her hands are shaking a little but I pretend not to have noticed. I take the notebook, keeping my eyes on her. The drawing is actually a sketch of a tree, birds flying away from it. It looks more like a picture to be honest.

Love Tangle

Love Tangle

She is very talented. Mira walked into the room and saw how she was carried away by her work, Gabriella's hair was packed up and the hand sleeves of her top fell on her elbows, she had her glasses on, focusing on her sketch work, and the room was all littered up with papers and pencils of different colors and sizes and she didn't mind notice Mira come as she had an earbud on and was listening to cool music on her phone. How is the design coming up? Mira asked but got no reply from Gabriella,

“Not at all.” As I handed her a sheet and a pencil, I realized how much I’d needed this. A moment that asked nothing of me but truth. “What do you want to draw?” I asked her, teasing and smiling. “I might sketch Milo in medieval armor,” She mused, grinning. “Like a Spanish knight. He thinks he’s noble.” I chuckled. “He’d frame it.” “I know.” She began sketching. I watched her out of the corner of my eye. “You’re not like the other women who pass through this place,” She said after a while, casually.

LOVE AND LUST

LOVE AND LUST

Like they’d always been this way. Like Lisa had always been there arguing over syrup ratios and Katie had always been correcting Dennis’s table manners. Mira caught her dad watching them with soft eyes. He looked relieved. And maybe a little emotional. Later That Afternoon Mira and Lisa were sprawled on the living room floor, sketchbooks open, music playing softly (at a reasonable volume this time). “Okay, but imagine this,” Lisa said, drawing quickly. “A Lagos cityscape but floating in space.” Mira leaned over her shoulder. “Add neon signs. And drones.”

UGLY? No More!

UGLY? No More!

she began, “they just had to head home. They didn’t want to disturb you when they left.” Mira’s little face fell instantly. “But… but I wanted to show them my drawing!” Her lips trembled as she held up a piece of paper covered in bright pink hearts and stick figures, one tall man, one woman with long hair, one small girl in a dress, and two smiling ladies holding cupcakes. Elara’s heart squeezed. “Oh, sweetheart…” Julian crouched down in front of her, gently taking the picture. “You made this for them?” Mira nodded hard, her eyes glistening. “They said they liked cupcakes and family and… and I wanted to make them one. But they left.”

THE ALPHA KING'S TWO FACED MATE

THE ALPHA KING'S TWO FACED MATE

he declared triumphantly. Sharon caught the sketch book, her heart leaping when he cautioned her what she'd find inside. Every single page held a group of wolves, some hurried sketches done apparently in a rush, as though he couldn't get the image from his mind and onto paper quick enough. Other sketches were more precise than she would have imagined—hulking, sharp-eyed, living in a manner that made it harder to breathe. She gazed down at Alexander, displaying the sketchbook, "You're a wolf fan, huh?"
