"Seems important." The woman considered that. Then smiled. A beautiful smile. One worn by years. One strengthened by hope. One that had never quite given up. "My name is Mira." The stars seemed to brighten. Or perhaps it only felt that way. Mira. A name carried across forgotten roads. Across lost maps. Across impossible time. Hope grinned. "I'm Hope." Mira laughed immediately. "Of course you are." The crew relaxed. The tension finally breaking. Noah introduced himself.

He continued playing with his ball and humming the rhyme. Elizabeth took a look at the mirror and scowled. Sigrid stepped forward to look in the mirror, only to find that the reflection in the mirror had frozen. What was shone was indeed Noah's face. However, it was not the image of a clean and chubby little boy whom they saw in front of them now. Displayed in the mirror was Noah with a broken forehead. Scarlet blood dripped down his face and covered his right cheek. Both of his arms had been amputated and blood was spurting out.

A gunshot split the night outside Velvet Mirage, the crack echoing over the bass that shook the club’s grimy floor. Inside, Noah Brant danced like a trapped spark, lean muscles flexing under neon slashes of blue and red. At twenty-four, he stood five-foot-ten, dark hair clinging to his brow, hazel eyes scanning the River North throng for stray bills. Chapter 97 Before her, Noah stood like a towering sentinel, his massive form looming like a colossal mountain against the backdrop of the forest. His fur was a rich, ebony black, and his eyes—those brilliant purple orbs—were fixed on her, unblinking, and radiating an intensity that sent shivers down her spine. Noah's growl, deep and guttural in its tone, reverberated through the forest like a seismic tremor, causing the very ground beneath Myla's feet to quiver. It was as if the entire forest was held captive in anticipation of some monumental event.

I have pretty strong healing powers myself, so it would be only natural they have it as well. Mirage on the other hand; she has somewhat elemental control, healing on a much larger scale, can move things with her mind, make illusions in one's mind, communicate and control animals and she can already turn into her baby wolf. She also always knows what is going on with her twin, and will instantly try to get to her by all means necessary. One time we came into the nursery because Layla was crying, and we found Mirage manipulating the air to transport her baby form to her sister's crib. That was a disturbing one.

But Mirage matched every move, his stance grounded, his power unshaken. "How?" Nicolas snarled, his disbelief bleeding into fury. "You haven't even shifted-how can you-" Mirage shoved him back with a single, brutal push that sent Nicolas crashing into a tree trunk, splintering the bark. The silence that followed was deafening, broken only by Lilah's sharp breaths and the thrum of Nicolas's fury. I'll get up. Noah was right with me. But when he touched me, a burst of light shot between us. He blew back. His palm began to glimm again. No. Not again. Mira made an involuntary move.
