Missing Halloween Novels & Stories

Rylin and I walk through the council room doors. All the packs were here even the rouges had a few representatives here. Still no Amy. I fear something is wrong with her. Bellamy finally out of the hospital as well. Rose's celebration of life is just a few days. Her pack have their funerals on half moons. It's symbolic really. I look around the room and they're l staring at us. Did they know as well. Can they see the burning tension between us. The desire in our eyes. I brushed it off and took my seat next to Rylin. He was at the head of the long table and everyone took their seats along the sides.

Our conversation flowed easily, and the evening felt special. However, our date was cut short unexpectedly. I received an urgent call from Erik, informing me that I needed to return to the office immediately. Our computer system had been hacked, and it was critical to address the situation right away. Because of the urgency, I didn't have time to take Sarah home, so I had no choice but to bring her with me. I gently held Sarah's hand, gazing into her warm, trusting eyes. "Sorry about this, Sarah," I said softly, "but it's urgent that I get back to the office. I promise I'll make it up to you soon."

She is a friendly and kind woman. Today Mary came back. Most of the houses have been cleaned. So it didn't take him long to clean up the rest. At 10.35 AM he had finished his work and went home. Halloween night is drawing near. All the houses around us have started decorating their yards and their respective houses with Halloween horror decorations. Of course I don't want to miss this moment. After all, it's Emily's first Halloween year without her dad. "Honey, hurry up and finish your breakfast. We have to go to the store to get Halloween supplies," he said as he climbed the stairs.

Early the next morning, it was a Monday. Manning, as a city, was getting into the Halloween mood, which was three weeks from the Sunday special. People were all around the town, with a few stores having decorated the night before. Everywhere was packed with scary designs. Manning University had not yet gone through the changes. Everything was as normal as it had been the previous day, except those students who were mischievous had already planted scary decorations in their mates' lockers.

The drive through the town managed to bring back my happy mood as I excitedly marveled at all the holiday decorations. "Remind me to get sunglasses if I don't want to get blinded by all the holiday lights here," He grumbled. "Sure, I'd put that in my notes app next to the note about you getting a personality transplant," I said sweetly. "Add another note for me to get a six pack of beer. Cause I'm going to have to stay drunk for the next fifteen days to survive this." I nodded in agreement, "perfect, cause I'll need you to be passed out in the pool house to be able to get through the next few days. Your obvious alcohol problem would make the perfect explanation for our eventual divorce."

Molly walked into the kitchen at that time. “Oh my! Are you two okay?” said Molly, slowly approaching Coralis and Veronica. “Yes, we are, but there was no way we would have walked around the neighbourhood looking like that. Halloween is soon, but we aren’t there yet,” said Coralis. “We might have to miss the game tomorrow,” said Sebastian, entering the kitchen. “I made coffee when we came back, it should be still warm, do you want a cup?” said Lizzy. “No thank you,” said Veronica.

The hours flew by and I didn't realise how late it was until I see Arthur entering the hall, his long legs eating up the distance between us. "Honey bun." He greeted, his lips curling into a warm smile, causing my heart to tug at the sound of his deep voice. I smiled in return before turning to observe the fully decorated hall in front of me. The theme for the Halloween Party is a masked ball and murder mystery. The hall is set up like a large crime scene with bloody sofas, broken furniture, lopsided decor and several broken memorabilia. And looking quite out of place against the crime scene is a dance floor and a DJ turntable located on one end of the room for people to dance.

His voice pulsates in excitement. At once a man appears in front of him out of no where, as soon as Benjamin opens the gates of the haunted house. "Do not go there. It is just an illusion." A man in a long coat with no limbs flying in air appeared in front of him. "It is the evil spirit which is calling you." He warned him. But Benjamin did not care for his words. On a trance he continued to walk ahead towards the mansion. "Our phones are dead. I need to call somebody for help. My wife is laying there unconscious." He points to his broken car.

There was absolutely nothing to do so they decided to enjoy their time. “Probably no one has yet noticed that we are missing. We can go back, just sweep it under the carpet and pretend this never happened,” Meredith offered. “No way!” Olivia and Jill said in unison. “We are staying and we are going to have the best time of our lives. Also, we…” “What’s that about?” Jill asked anxiously, as they heard the police cars approaching. “Probably someone got over excited and smashed a window or two. Happens a lot on Halloween,” Meredith said carelessly.

It pulses once, like a heartbeat. I swallow hard. Strange things have always happened when I’m upset, lights flickering, books falling, dreams that feel too real, but this feels different. Like the pendant is reacting to something out there. Or calling to it. The fog thins as we turn onto a narrow road lined with lanterns shaped like pumpkins. They sway even though there’s no wind. “Hallow’s Edge goes all out for Halloween,” Ms. Carter says cheerfully. “Biggest festival in the county. You’ll be here just in time.”
