Missing Halloween Novels & Stories

But the name was finally shortened to Halloween. Jake: you've actually gotten it but there's still so much more about the holidays. Halloween falls on October 31 because the ancient Gaelic festival of Samhain, considered the earliest known root of Halloween, occurred on this day. It marked a pivotal time of year when seasons changed, but more importantly, observers also believed the boundary between this world and the next became especially thin at this time, enabling them to connect with the dead. This belief is shared by some other cultures; a similar idea is mentioned around the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, which also typically occurs in October and involves saying prayers for the dead.

For this town is special, and its citizens terrifying. Mrs. Hagatha Belfry stepped out of her front door and onto the porch with a cup of tea in hand. Throughout the town, even though it was winter and snowy in the surrounding wood, autumn leaves sprouted from every limb of every branch of every tree, and the fallen leaves were replaced by new leaves overnight. Lilith’s Hollow is graced by the autumn season all year round, thanks to a witch’s spell from one who lived in town long before Mrs. Belfry’s centuries of residency there. After all, this was the town that Halloween built. Mrs. Belfry, along with all of the werewolves, zombies, mad doctors, monsters, ogres, and more mythical creatures

*The message* Dr. Emma Taylor's eyes widened as she stared at the cryptic message on her phone: "They're watching me. I have to escape." The words sent a chill down her spine. It was from her sister, Sarah, who had been missing for weeks. Emma's mind racing, she replayed the events leading up to Sarah's disappearance. They had been arguing about their estranged father, and Sarah had been acting strangely in the days before she vanished. Emma had dismissed it as paranoia, but now she wondered if something more sinister was at play.

The steps were already empty by the time I sprinted up them and into homeroom. “You’re late Miss Georgiou.” Miss Matthews chirped as I crashed into homeroom, her feathers clearly flustered. “Now, as I was saying. The Halloween festival is tomorrow night and all money raised will be going to the orphanage. I hope you have all bought your tickets.”

“Chill, I just need a serious distraction , an escape from life and some solitude “ I said sighing heavily “School work and studying is enough distraction, nursing school will be back in full force after the Christmas celebrations and new year holidays' ' said Hazel , ``I am so caught up in my whole world that I didn’t even realise that Halloween and thanksgiving has passed , it’s already a few days until Christmas.

Rebekah smiled, looking bored "Are you ok?" Morgan asked when she noticed. "Oh...yeah... Why don't we go grab lunch?" Rebekah stood, and Morgan joined. They left the library and were walking the halls when they noticed the Halloween party posters on the wall has doubled already. There's no single space on the wall without it. "Wait! Tomorrow night is the party at the mirror maze and we still don't have costumes!" Morgan gasped. "Pearl is busy right now so we'll go shopping tomorrow morning. We're kitty cats isn't it?" Rebekah replied with an excited smile, but the smile wiped off when she sighted Axel and Sabrina in a corner.

"The game difficulty has been upgraded. Only high-level ghosts may remain in Happy Home. Mid-level ghosts must evacuate the residential complex immediately." The fatal mechanical voice echoed throughout the entire building. "What?!" Nicole couldn't help but scream. Granny Rosa was the only high-level ghost they could currently access. Without her as a messenger, they would all die here without question. My father and brother's expressions flickered with panic as they paced back and forth, unable to find a way out.

Tired of pretending the holidays didn’t take every insecurity I owned and amplify it by ten. The worst part was that I didn’t even know what I wanted anymore. Not really. Just that I needed space. Somewhere, I wasn’t being watched. Somewhere, I didn’t feel like a progress report. Somewhere I could exist without explanation. I reached for my phone again. I wasn’t planning anything dramatic. This wasn’t a breakdown. This was a browse. A harmless scroll. Completely reasonable behaviour. I opened a travel app. France appeared almost immediately, as if it had been waiting for me to admit something.

Other than the electronic gadgets present there, the room had an empty feeling to it. It definitely wasn’t Hannah style and he knew it. Dylan steps into the kitchen and headed for the fridge to grab a bottle of water as he felt a little dizzy from his hangover and was surprised to see an empty fridge with only water and few drinks present in it. It was like no one was living here.

He was feeling dizzy because he was used to dancing that much. Even in the united state, where he is in a situation where he had to attend a dance or party, as the foreigners calls it, he always makes sure he doesn’t involve his self in such. Slowly, the sacred dance party organized by the queen ended and the queen gave her last words before leaving the hall. Chloe’s eyes roamed around the room, if she could get a glimpse of her prince charming and then exchange phone numbers with him, and then she will forever be grateful. “Chloe” a drunken viscount dragged, jerking her out of her reveries.
