It was, after all, her favorite holiday, and it had to be celebrated.
Probably alone this year. She sighed thinking about it. She hadn't even done anything to mark the season this year, not a single party, haunted house, or not even a trip to the large, year-long Halloween store that so entranced her when she first moved to the city.
She just didn't feel like it.
Absently, she scrolled through the same social media pages she had been exploring all night, not really seeing what was before her, simply filling the time with clicks and drags and mouse-wheel spins, when something pulled her out of her stupor.
