Mist

Mist

Kiran turned to look at Malachi and he nodded his head as well. “Kiran Sinclair, step forth and claim the first incision,” Malachi said, and I looked at the knife in Kiran’s hand. Aegishjalmur, Valknut, Triskelion, Yggdrasil, Gungnir, and Mjolnir were etched on the handle, the symbols of our ancestors and our history.

RAGNAR - The Turtle of Gods

RAGNAR - The Turtle of Gods

Children's voices answered them from the deep darkness of the well. Ragnar and Lathgertha then began to search for a way to bring the children up from this gaping hole. While they were busy looking everywhere for tools or items that could help, Ragnar continuing to ask questions, learned from Lathgertha that she had been in Jötunheimar for almost twelve moons already. She had traveled with two of her sisters and a convoy of merchants riding horses who had all served as game for the giants after they unknowingly passed through one of Loki's portals.

The Black Cliff

The Black Cliff

Seaweed dangled from the broken temple, covering the eyelids with a greenish-blue bandage. A long time ago, when her aunt taught her sorcery, Nocté saw her relatives from the inside, and then she learnt about people by reading and carefully looking through the pictures in the books of the royal healer. The newt didn't have the protective armor of the Northern Border Guards, but Nocté knew he was one of them. The girl carefully examined the mutated tail, similar to human limbs. “Did the stream bring him here, or was it monsters endeavour? This could not be done by a human.” Nocté jumped to the newt's body. She pushed the impudent seagull away from his side, removed the seeweed and closed his

he said and chuckled at his own joke. Hashar jerked against the chains angrily but nothing happened. “Oh, rabid dog,” he said to Hashar. “Keep it quiet,” he smiled. “Let me tell you a story, it will make your day I promise.” “You see, mistletoe was once a harmless plant and no one took much notice of it. Then it came to pass that the goddess of beauty and love and all things fine gave birth to a boy as beautiful as him. And you know mothers right, she wanted to protect the boy at all cost,” he paused and glanced at the three dangling from the chains.

The Viking's Mate Hunt

The Viking's Mate Hunt

They lived underneath the world tree and wove the tapestry of fate. Nidhogg (or Níðhöggr, meaning ‘curse striker’) was the dragon-like creature that gnawed away at the very roots of the Yggdrasil—the World Tree (the tree that held the various worlds of the Norse cosmos). In Norse mythology, Nidhogg was the primary malefactor among the many serpents and giants, and as such, his name meant ‘he who strikes with malice.'

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

"You don't go out often but I have been here a couple of times. This mist appeared about three thousand years ago. Only it wasn't as large and thick. It grew stronger over the years, and more dangerous. The people of this planet call it 'Misty Island'. Because the mist is so strong that it seems as though whatever is hidden within is its own land. It has been known to spit out no survivors. I had left it unchecked, because whatever was in there didn't actively search for prey. According to our laws, I cannot deal with anything that causes no major harm. In its defence, all who became prey, faced such a fate because of their curiosity towards the unknown. But now, it has come after one of our

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

The Bartered Princess

Her white-blonde hair showed no signs of grey and her gaze had all the lustre of the jewels Miriam sometimes wore in her hair. “To answer your question, no,” Astrid said, tossing her dagger up and down. “Disappointed?” “Oh, no,” she replied. “I just wondered. “They’re mythical creatures who dislike thunder. Is that what Ketil told you?” “Father? He doesn’t believe in them. It was Njord.” “Interesting,” her aunt commented. “When was this?” “I think I was in my twelfth summer.” “After your own visit to the Ice Lands then?” Beyla nodded. “Was he making it up?”

Fire

Fire

“Kiran, you’ll need to dry at least fifty ounces of mistletoe, crush them to make a tea. The mistletoe needs to cook for two days in a red pot. Never boiling, only simmering. After the two days are up (measure your time carefully, it must be exactly forty-eight hours) pour the liquid through a sift to separate the water and the mistletoe pieces. The clear liquid should be poured into blessed glass containers that seal with a rubber lid. You need to do this on a Thursday. It should stand in direct sun- and moonlight for twenty-four hours. While you wait for the liquid to draw energy from the sun and the moon you need to slice up the root wrapped in the cotton shroud you’ll find in here. Slice

Love Without Time Limits (AC2)

Love Without Time Limits (AC2)

Where we were right now, several druids were harvesting mistletoe from the oak trees. "We need to go to a hidden grove somewhere to check if my device can activate the stone. It's the sixth day of the lunar cycle today. It is considered sacred to harvest and burn mistletoe; the smoke can be used to summon supernatural and cosmic forces. It's a big day every month and it will be difficult to open portals without drawing attention here." I wondered if the time bender sorceress could be summoned with this sacred smoke he was talking about.

I didn’t see that coming in chapter 80. I know why it had to happen this way and how it’s going to pay off but I really loved reading their little side story and feel sad that it ended and he will be grieving. It’s one of the best redemption arcs and would like to read more about him.
