Shaking my head, I turned my attention back to Angel. “You look beautiful too,” I said sincerely. My gaze drifted to the little girl beside her. “And so does your daughter.” Angel’s expression softened immediately. “This is Chloe,” she said proudly. “My little princess.” The little girl peeked out from behind her mother’s side, studying me with curious eyes. I crouched down to her level and held out my hand, offering her my brightest smile.

As her tears began to roll, she cried. "No, it wasn't me; it was someone else who gave your son his blood because your son needed urgent blood," the doctor explained. “Liam!” the first name Jessica's lips could think of. “No, Mr. Chris!
