GRACE'S POV Just like always, Monday slid in inconspicuously loud. It's that day of the week you dread, but can't help but wait for because only then can you get to the weekend quickly. Except, this Monday was exhaustingly slow. Maybe it was because I kept looking at the time and every time I did so, it only moved like two minutes and thirty seconds further. Or perhaps it was because my desk was occupied with piled up files waiting to be sorted out.

BELLA’S POV It was the beginning of a new week and we all had to gather at the office early to welcome the new boss, who happened to be Mr. Richard's cousin. The morning rush hour was in full swing, as it typically is in the city on any given workday, especially on Mondays. There's just something about Mondays that makes everything so hectic. I made sure to beat the traffic, get the office space ready, and ensure that all the staff were present and prepared.

Sadly , today I had to train at this hour because of transport reasons. Taking a deep breath and then exhaling slowly through my mouth , I decide to take my steps into the gym. By the sounds of it and the amount of noise and chatter that pierces my eardrums , I internally cry as I know that it will be crowded – especially due to the fact that it is Monday , a day that everyone wants to be at the gym to work on their weekly resolutions however fail to stay constant throughout the entire week.

After I was satisfied that he had fully surrendered, I turned back to Elowen. “Blondie...” Her face puffed slightly. Amusement danced in my eyes. Oh, that was fucking adorable. “Tell me what?” A small smile appeared on my lips. “There's no school on Mondays in Belmont.” Her lips parted. “What?” I almost lost it again, but I held myself. “Mondays are for assignments, project meetings, independent study, and lab bookings.” Her face fell. The colour in her cheeks deepened red, so red.

"Are you sure, ma'am? You seem very tired. Let me help you." "No!" I snapped, a little too harshly, before softening my tone. "I appreciate it, Agnes, but I’ll handle it. I just need a few more minutes to rest." "Very well, ma'am," Agnes said with a small bow, though her expression still held a trace of concern. "But I must inform you... you missed your Monday classes." Her words struck me like a bolt of lightning. My heart sank as I processed what she’d just said. "Monday? What do you mean, Monday?! Is today Monday?" I exclaimed, throwing the blanket off me despite the soreness in my body.

Monday. The day that officially makes people tired before they even set out for the day. There certainly are people who take Monday's seriously—but unsparingly, students hope for this day to vanish from the calendar. Yes, the ones who are going to graduate by the next year—too. Autumn season has finally left the premises and the air has become colder than yesterday. Winter is knocking on the door—along with the monthly tests. But Roy was very happy inside, as he made way to his first class with Ken and Monroe bickering nonstop to his left.

It's on Monday ,another day at work, I'm not yet over the weekend but it's work we're talking about here so I had to report to work today plus it's just my second week and I don't want to mess up things . We spent the better part of weekend doing some cleaning in the house,we did some shopping went for hiking,and Maya went to meet Adrian.

Sloane and I walked side by side, our steps light as we made our way toward the parking lot, relieved to be done for the day. “That class should be a sleep aid,” Sloane muttered, flipping her notebook shut with a snap. I chuckled. “At least we didn’t get randomly called to solve equations today.” “Bless God. He shone over us his light of salvation and grace,” she said. “Because I would’ve melted up there in shame.” “Stop it, Sloane,” I chuckled. “You’re way smarter than that.” “I know, but I feel way off today,” she sighed. “Maybe it’s because it’s Monday.”

Mondays in Nigeria is one of the most hated days of the week. Most people don't even smile on Mondays knowing they have to resume another stress-filled week while struggling to beat Monday morning traffic after having a relaxed filled and cosy weekend with the family. The idea of abandoning it for work can be quite frustrating. Most kids even come up with a fake illness just to avoid school. Every other person out there is either heading to work or school but the reverse is the case here, I am here in the living room trapped with Alex who was clad in a pair of joggers.
