"Kai! He's my friend!" Maika jumped into action, screaming for Kai to stop, but he couldn't hear her over all the commotion and the thundering of the weather. Kai smiled to himself, and said just loudly enough for Miaka to hear, "I don't care about that Miss Sasin." He took a massive chuck out of the guy's neck, leaving him a corpse on the floor at their feet. Miaka gave him a look that could have killed him dead on the spot if looks could really kill.
